I have quite a lengthy car journey to work in the morning, and the same ride back in the afternoon, so instead of listening to the same looping terrible music that's on the radio, I've started listening to PODCASTS, much more valuable and insightful stuff.
Anyways I'm wondering if you guys have any favourite podcasts relating to AM you could share, thanks
SO FAR;
Currently listening to how to win friends and influence people, audiobook (kickass BTW)
I've got the nickycakes podcast ready to go
If you haven't listened to the viperchill podcast featuring Mr Green (place that made me find out about this forum), you should check that out
Ripped the Charlesngo Q&A with Ben Young he did the other week
If you have a commute and you are NOT doing this, it would be a tragic waste.
Great tip - I commute in daily and take a train, but the same principle applies - especially when we're talking about maximizing the hours in the day to their full potential.
IF you're looking for good podcasts, this thread has a tonne of great sources in it: http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...hlight=podcast
I also find tuning everyone out and zoning in on an intelligent podcast helps take away the stress off the common folk on the road/train/in my way.
rip all these as well, well worth the listen: https://soundcloud.com/charlesngodotcom
I don't really listen to many podcasts, but you won't find me on a London tube without a book.
Any time I have to commute in to London, that's two hours of reading in the bank. Same for bus rides.
(Although, obviously, if you are driving, podcasts are the way forward!)
Currently working my way through Hooked, and Startup CEO.
Both decent books.
I tend to binge my way through fiction over the holidays though (David Baldacci in particular). Fiction is escapism, and escapism can be pretty good for the mind after a busy year!
You will be amazed at how much you can learn in the course of a year by using your commute productively.
A one hour commute each way over one year = 730 hours in one year. Assuming a 10 hour workday, that is 73 days or almost 2.5 months of time that you can put to good use improving yourself!
Much more worthwhile than getting to the next level on Candy Crush.
