Hey everyone,
Need some opinions here. My AM gave me a list and there's an AntiVirus offer that is doing good volume and has decent EPC. I decided to give it a try since I have a landing page that I used and performed very well.
So I submitted to my AM and requested for approval. Few hours later she told me the advertiser wanted me to remove a few things, including my call to action headline and countdown timer. So I did the changes and asked for approval again. Few hours later she told me the advertiser wanted me to change my text as well. The thing is, after all those changes, the landing page has no sense of urgency, no strong headline and some generic body text telling visitor they should install an antivirus .. like anyone would even bother to click through.
I also submitted 3 landing page variations and 3 different angles. 2 landing pages and 2 angles were rejected too.
How do you all deal with this situation? Give it a test, move on or just use the landing page behind their back?

If you do run unapproved lander, you risk not getting paid for any of the leads you will generate and testing a lander you don't believe in doesn't feel right.....
What geo is it about, and is the feedback clear you get from your AM?
When he just says NO, but don't give you examples of alternatives or creatives that are allowed, it could be a waste of time.
I suggest you call your AM and get your heads together to find an angle that will have the edge you need, AND the security of getting paid.
When you really did all this work for HIS offer, he should invest his time as well.
Have you run the toned down lander? Does it convert?
I'll probably just move on to other offers. I tried to get the details from my AM and she finally told me the advertiser's received too many complains so they don't want to risk getting fined. They rather lose the volume and reject any creative/landing page they find to be slightly "more aggressive". That's what get me thinking the first place. Their offer page is just like any other antivirus page so it has to be the pre-lander that's doing the work. Some affiliates must have abused this offer a week ago when the advertiser was still lenient with the landing page criteria.
