I am running an app install CPI campaign in decisive , direct linking to google play
this is for another country so to test i used a VPN on my phone, followed the link installed and opened the app.
The click showed up in F5 right away but no conversion.
I also ran the ads a bit in decisive got 500 clicks and no conversions. while i am not sure there was any conversions, the fact that my own install didn't trigger anything is alarming to me
i contacted them but until they reply i am trying to figure this out myself
any ideas?
This isn't abnormal at all.
Many VPN IPs are blacklisted so won't trigger a conversion.
Furthermore, it's sometimes not so straightforward to successfully trigger a valid conversion due to cookies, device tracking, etc. that are not easily thwarted if you're not highly technically minded.
Ask if the offer is converting network-wide. If it is, then it's working fine. If it's working for others and they are driving traffic then you can be sure the offer actually converts.
Thanks Zeno, I did end up seeing a few conversions from my campaign so it's all good.
Now to the hard part, making money !!
