need help with tracking (4)

Be aware that direct-linking in Voluum means every click counts as a visit and not as a click.

I don't know why so many people get confused about this... clicks/visits >> CTR calculation and it makes little sense to do this if you don't have a lander, and would double charge you for events.

Anyway, you don't need to do anything to make Voluum and ZeroPark communicate. It's automatic. What you do need to do is use the correct URL format for YTZ and set up the postback on their end.

Go into YTZ > Postback Tracking and put in an account-level postback URL in the following format:

hxxp://myvoluumURL.com/postback?cid={SUB1}&payout={REVENUE}

Now you need to just pass Voluum's click ID as the first subid in your YTZ link, which you seem to be doing fine - so looks like you didn't have the postback setup in YTZ?

Once that's all done just use the report section of YTZ to show all converting subid1s, export those and upload to Voluum in the setup section with the revenue attached, e.g. blahblahID, 7.50

It will take a bit of work to transfer these over if there are lots of different payouts but you can still reconcile the conversion tracking across the board.

1:When making a postback target account over a particular campaign link, this way you won't have to make a separate postback for every link you use.

2:your postback is wrong, Zeno posted the correct format above; myvoluumURL.com/postback?cid={SUB1}&payout={REVENUE}

3:the correct format for manually uploading is clickid,payout

i.e. wWHD7DHUDHHDHUBLAHBLAH,1.27

no dates, no quotation marks,just a clickid followed by a , followed by a number

thx for ur reply craigm. ok i realised that the postback is wrong. changed it to the correct one already.

i managed to upload to Voluum as well. i exported the data to excel, inserted a column in between and just copied "," all the way down.

hopefully i can get the tracking to reflect correctly on Voluum now.

thx again craigm & zeno!

Great!

FYI if your conversion data is rows of text like in your picture (as opposed to a CSV which Excel should open fine), the function to use in Excel in the future is "Text to Columns". It's important to learn certain Excel functions as they can save so much time in the long run.

Run this on your column. In this case you'd select other and use "," as the delimiter to split it into columns. Then you could find/replace all " with nothing, then add a middle column with a comma, fill down, copy the entire thing > paste into Voluum.

This kinda sounds complicated but is really trivial when you're comfortable using Excel.
