How to use angle on search traffic?

Hi,Stmers.

I read some post about angles. But I have a question about how to use angles on the search like adwords and bing, for they have QS.
Like I want to promo skin offer to some divorced women.
"Why you divorced,Because of your skin"--ad copy.
What keywords should I bid on,i think if i bid on divorced. I think my qs will very low,and not much impressions on my campaign.
any advice?
Thanks.

If you are trying to sell skin products I would target i.e. use keywords that imply the user is searching for information on improving their skin in some way.

Targeting keywords like divorce is unlikely to work - it's not specific and you can bet you're going to compete with the legal vertical where they can certainly blow your bids out of the water.

How you use angles in your ad copy is up to you. Since QS is a holistic measurement you should just make individual landers for each ad group/campaign that are customised to that specific angle.

Don't be lazy. If you want to use a new angle, tailor your lander to best suit that angle and your ad.

If you had 200 highly condensed adgroups each targeting 1 set of keywords, would you create 200 versions of the LP and cater the content to the keywords in the adgroups in order to increase QS?

If they all had the same angles then no, I would just dynamically insert keywords on the pages using PHP or even dynamically change the headline based on the headline used in the ad (e.g. pass headline=1 in the URL and have a text file that is read from to get corresponding page headline).

If it increased QS to an extent that gave a competitive advantage, increased volume, decreased CPCs, etc. then it's probably worth it.

To go the more manual route, you could have a VA duplicate landers and edit copy for every ad/keyword set and then have them put the corresponding links in a tracker and provide a spreadsheet of it all.

I use http://ispionage.com

You get free 10 searches a day. Search for keywords an advertiser by URL and you can see some angles they are using as well as the keywords they are bidding on...

You definitely do NOT want to bid on "divorced".

Put your self in the mindset of someone who may want your product.

Are they really going to go to Google and search for "divorced"?

Not likely.

The people who search for "divorced" on Google are most likely people who are thinking about a divorce and its potential implications, not people who are looking for skin products. They may be trying to better understand the implications of a divorce on their kids, on their finances, advice for avoiding divorce or legal assistance with a divorce.

Now imagine that such a person sees your ad copy "Why you divorced? Because of your skin"

Not only does this ad make very little sense, it actually is quite insulting and derogatory.

If you are selling leads to family lawyers or marriage counselors, bidding on such a term as "divorced" can make a lot of sense. Bidding on such a keyword and then to accuse someone of martial problems due to their skin really will get you nowhere.
