Basic Campaign Setup? Do I have this right? (7)

Basic Campaign Setup? Do I have this right?

Alright, so I'm totally new to mobile traffic and am sort of new to paid traffic all together. The route I chose for paid mobile traffic is banner ads. I just had a quick question regarding the basics of a campaign setup and ultimately, I'd like to know if I'm on the right track!

Going to start with: Decisive or Adivity (recommendations?)

So this is how I imagine setting up/running a campaign should go...

1. Research
Research research research. Research the offers, traffic source, similar success threads, etc to get common knowledge in this area
2. Design Creatives
Design multiple different banners and a couple different landing pages all surrounding angles that you've previously chosen to test.
3. Create Campaign
Set up tracking, setup campaign targets (geo, device, carriers, ???)
4. Test
Split testing banners, LP's...ultimately collect data
5. Scale!!
Once the profitable targets are found, remove the bad ones, create new LP/banners for the good ones, test some more.

So really, the "path" would look like this (for the user)

See banner > click, brings to LP > click call to action > brings to offer

Am I on the right track? Am I getting this right?

As always, any/all tips are greatly appreciated! Thank you for your help in designing my first mobile campaign!

It sounds about right, but be prepared for things to not go this smoothly. There are always bumps in the road and walls to climb over.

You'll only learn by doing, so give this process a try and refine it until you have something that works for you.

Cheers and good luck!

Yep looks good, now just take action on a small scale to encounter those inevitable hurdles and conquer them.

Thanks for the replies! Should I focus on 1 offer and 1 country to start?

Focus on one vertical/area.

Ideally get into a situation where you can rotate/test multiple offers with the same banners/campaign angles and find what works best.

Don't focus on one country either, test many!

Example: focus on mobile subscription offers in South East Asia. Dozens of offers to choose from, and many high volume countries with low CPMs and different cultures/technological statuses > lots of testing where you can find combinations that work.

I'm not sure what you mean.

Do you mean 1 campaign per country in your tracker/traffic source? Then yes, absolutely.
