Another "what adserver to use" with a twist :)

Hey,

Ok so we've done a crapload of volume on pops and finally decided to get more into display banners

That being said, we have some large traffic sources outside the ad networks that run RubiconProject for their internal traffic.

They will allocate us X% of their inventory but does anyone have any recommendations on what ad platform to run? I've never used OpenX, AdShuffle, Google Doubleclick, nor SiteScout. Is there any one that stands out when it comes to "intergrating" with RubiconProject?

So our goal is to be rotate our own banners within, for example, Google DoubleClick but still have our adserver report back eCPM's for example to RubiconProject (the platform used by some of the traffic sources we're trying to monetize).

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Hi clickright,

could you tell me what is RubiconProject?

Thanks

Rubicon is a solution that just fully auto-optimizes the which ads it serves (from which of the dozen networks that is) based on eCPM. Most adservers/techs/platforms do this but Rubicon is supposedly the shiznit according to them.

I have and it worked fine....it has all the basic stuff as far as an adserver goes.....can do some basic optimization.....fire mutiple pixels....track via a ton of variables....

the only issue i dont like in the 99 version is you dont get to see referrers....you have to upgrade....its not a super big issue but its nice to see that......

it is more expensive than adshuffle buy less than site scout....

It handled volume fine if you sign up for the CDN it serves off of aktomi....which is one of the largest networks......

That is good to know @ custom API interface. What language is it based on though? PHP? Depending on the quite sitescout is going to give me I might take Sitescout up on their free 1-month enterprise trial offer presuming sitescout lets me do the pixel management as well.
