"average ROI" app installs?

Hey Guys,

just wanted to know if there's like any "average" ROI for app installs campaigns, because I seem to struggle to get them over 10-15 %... is that normal in mobile? or am I just too low?

thanks as usual

There's no such thing as an average ROI unless you get very specific about conditions.

E.g. mainstream adult offers in US/CA/UK/AU on TJ/Exo, high volume advertisers >> average return for scaled campaigns of 10-30% or something like that.

For app installs = far too broad. What vertical? What geos? What sources? What kind of traffic quality? Direct or through networks?

I think 10-15% is fine if you can scale it. If your running on a source with volume and a broad appeal campaign, 10% ROI could be $500 a day... or $180k/year. Not too shabby?

Zeno, for Brazil, mobile app installs what are the ROI like? Speed Booster, etc

ATM app installs are taking a beating, their payouts are being decreased left right and center, and offers are getting paused.
I'd wait until the new year.

As Attila said already, apps are getting kicked in the butt right now, your mentioned Speed Booster just as well. Payments are way lower than they were when I still used to push that app. I was riding the BR wave with Speed Booster when they used to pay up to 75 cents per install, with 100% ROI on decent volume, those times are gone now. BR is very competitive, but there is plenty of volume available, its not a problem to spend a ton in that GEO, so if you can turn 15-20% ROI it can still translate into a nice amount of cash.

NOTE : Im talking about 100% compliant way of promotion, nothing shady, no cloacking.

So what to promote right now as newbie?

Mobile content and billing offers, games (still app installs I guess), lead gen, etc.

App installs make up a large part of mobile because of the enormity of the app stores, but there are many other options to pursue!

App installs still work and there is no reason for a newbie not to try it, just dont run to BR geo with speed booster and expect to turn 100% profit CPI is great because the low paying offers convert well and you will get a lot of conversions fast, its a perfect ground for learning the ropes - tracking, campaign creation, optimization ... with a low budget you can actually get the feel of the game and learn a lot in a short period of time. Its just not such a gold mine as it was a couple months ago.
