Which Traffic Sources to use besides Decisive for newbies?

Hi All,

Which traffic sources should I use for mobile besides decisive which is cheap and beginner friendly? Is there a list for that?

Thank you!
Leon

Any reasons you don't want to use decisive?

Roughly all the RTBs will have access to the same traffic so it's just a matter of which interface you like the most.

Apart decisive you could test Go2Mobi, Avazu mDSP and Leadbolt if you run push traffic.

Yup to expand a bit on this.. an rtb is simply a platform.. a system that has features ie target by device os version and other granular stuff tying together dsps which have no targeting features.

So for newbs i recommend to google and build a list of 10 rtbs and then check em out. Make a list of what each rtb offers that the other doesnt. Map it out in an easy to review table.

I did this and i can tell you some rtbs have features that are so kick ass it gives a competitive advantage.

Buzzcity requires 500 consistent spend before they open up pubids. So that makes them anti newbie in my books.

RTB just means real time bidding - search instead for e.g. "mobile DSP"

iAmAtilla & team - I have a campaign that's doing really well on Decisive. I want to get more traffic so I upped my bids (it has helped to go from Smart CPM to CPM and increase my bids and daily spend limits), I'm considering adding another traffic source that is DSP (Go2Mobi) but I'm hesitate after reading this, but based on what BBrock and you are saying above, it sounds like if I created another account and started adding bids there I'd simply be competing against myself for the same traffic and start driving up my CPM prices, is that correct - since they both have access to the same traffic source? Thanks guys!

Also when using Go2mobi - when setting up a campaign is requires selecting an "exchange" is there a specific one you guys recommend for optimal volume of traffic in app/wifi in the US? Looking through documentation..

Different DSPs have different technologies, UIs, bidding surcharges, targeting features, etc. so while you will be bidding against yourself if accessing the same inventory, different DSPs won't perform the same.

Just test and see which ones work better for your specific campaign and go with what works, or with what strikes you with the best balance of convenience and performance.

Exchanges provide the traffic from various placements. Usually a single placement will come mainly from a specific exchange and your placements that work won't be all from one exchange. So select all exchanges and just refine as usual.
