sup stackers,
I am running some traffic to a particular offer, its a sweepstake offer and i have messing around with different traffic sources and all are converting more or less at the same rate, but inMobi's CR so far is .54 only 1 conversion today and i 4 conversions total, totaling an amount of 970 clicks giving me a .71 CR while all the other networks around 4% CR. This is a mobile offer by the way.
Can someone comment on their traffic quality?
Thanks
what other traffic source do you use?
970 clicks from one of the biggest ad networks mean very little. Chances are that 40% of those came from one pub which means that your assumptions are irrelevant. You need to test deep on inMobi and if you go there with $500 in your pocket you will most probably be disappointed.
you mean i could be disappointed in a good or bad way?
Makes sense, that was just my fist experience with it!!
There's a lot of crap traffic on InMobi. Like others have already said, you need to test deep to find money placements.
Here's a tip that you can try with them, especially if you're on a limited budget.
Even though they're a blind ad network (you don't know what sites/apps your ads appear on), you can still ask to know which are their top apps in a specific category (EX, Action Games) and ask to run only on those. You might even be able to say, "Hey, do you guys have inventory on Tom The Talking Cat on Android? Yes? Okay, set up XXX campaign to only run on that app."
I actually don't run much at all on Inmobi because of how tedious it is (for me) but I have been able to do this in the past. Which is funny cause they won't give you the side ID of that pub if you ask them (you'll see it in your stats anyways lol). Just pester your reps there.
Also keep in mind that this inventory will most likely be remnant, which means that although Inmobi may be plugged in to that app that is on the Google Display Network, someone running ads directly on the GDN should be first in the ad chain VS. you. Unless it's an exclusive app that only they have (gotta dig for these). On the upside, it's much easier to get a campaign approved on InMobi than on Adwords. Either way, you gotta test.
