Good CTR for a PPV creative? (8)

Good CTR for a PPV creative?

Hey guys,

I just launched my first PPV campaign, split testing 2 landers that are both doing about 20-25% CTR. That's pretty good for a PPV lander, right? The entire lander is linked to the offer, so I'm wondering if I'm getting a lot of accidental clicks from people trying to close it.

25% seems suspiciously high after reading some of the follow along campaigns here, so I'm just trying to figure out if the data might be messed up somehow. I'm using P202 on a VPS for tracking.

Thanks!

25% is very solid, but very possible. Nothing wrong with that at all!

I'm guessing you targeting very tightly?

Thanks Lorenzo. Yes, fairly tight targeting - about 40 targets in my list, though 2 larger sites are basically taking all my budget at this point. My test is running now, and with ~400 impressions and ~100 clicks to the offer, I'm at 0 conversions. I've paused for now as I think evening traffic will convert better.

If this campaign doesn't work out, maybe I should take my awesome LP creating skills to a different vertical

Sure you could try a different vertical or try a different offer. 400 views ain't much at all for testing med-high paying CPA offers.

Good on you for mastering high lander CTRs!

I think 25% is good! Try to split test the same offer from different networks or try a different offer like Mr Green said. Of course it will cost you more, but if you find a winner offer with 25% CTR and nice conversion rate, you'll totally like it.

Well I've paused for tonight and am going to resume tomorrow, but I have a theory: I put a meta refresh with a timeout of 120 seconds on my lander, so I bet a large percentage of "click throughs" were from the pop up showing in the background, the user not noticing it, and then after 2 minutes getting the "automatic click through" from the meta refresh. In other words, a lot of those click throughs were BS.

I'll try turning off the meta refresh tomorrow and see what happens. I bet my CTR is going to tank.

I have done similar things with "roll-over" or "mouse-over" events.....you can get 60-75% ctr on you lp.....sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't (positive ROI)....
