Mobile landers with photoshop

Can someone please provide me with any links to threads about creating mobile landers with photoshop.

Just got my hands on it today and looking to get started but not too technical so a bit lost.

Cheers guys

I'm not sure we have any threads on that?

Making landers in Photoshop is just like making banners, but you can't simply transfer these to landing pages.

You could make the landers and hand it off to a designer to then manually code it up.

There is no easy way to take PS > live mobile lander. The PS part is good for mocking up but for a good mobile lander... it really needs to be hand-coded or at least done in a reasonably good responsive-design program like Webflow, Macaw, Pinegrow, etc.

Photoshop probably isn't the most obvious for making (mobile) landers, but you have options for sure. You can slice up your images and export to html etc. The topic is covered quite a lot online. Some pointers:

Adobe: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/usi...web-pages.html
YT tuto: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6bPLmjLlDQ

Try Banners&Landers. Or a freelance site like Elance, oDesk, etc.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but what if I were to make the landing page on PS then export the image to Adobe Muse and resize to mobile? Will this method work by any chance?

That would just be a really big image which with mobile you're trying to make as soon as possible. You're basically making the landing page using html and css whereas photoshop is for pictures. You can have photos in your landing page but your landing page cannot/should not be a picture as it'll make the landing page too slow. Look into codeacademy or treehouse for lessons on coding in html and css.

You can use a straight image as a preliminary test of how well some ad copy, an image, style, colour theme etc work for a specific lander but it's a really bad way of doing it.

Photoshop/imagery and web design are fundamentally separate. You can't use PS to make a landing page, just a visual representation of what you want the landing page to look like.

Hi Zeno, Apparently there is a photoshop bootcamp video on STM that you did on on tips and tricks ...but I cant find it...would anyone have the link?

I did a video on Photoshop in the 6 Week AMC's I think, but it's a bit hard to really explain PS well in a short video - its not really a tool that makes sense to do that for. I don't believe I have ever made one for STM Forum specifically.
