Help me Setup Tracking for an Advertiser: Private Offer

So this guy I know wants me to run some traffic for him. The scenerio goes like this:

Adwords to
Review Website to
His Offers

What does he need in order to pass back conversion data so that I can see CPA and ROI metrics in Adwords? Is this where he could run hasoffers or cake?

Ive only worked with affiliate networks and Voluum, so I dont know the inner workings of how to get conversion data back to the review site's adwords account.

Thanks

why not toss him your postback?

Is this just you promoting his product?

Let's say he wants to scale, then yes, he should probably look into small business solutions for tracking, such as cupcake by Cake.

Other than that, you could just ask him to place your snippet on his confirmation page, or use a postback.

Oh. So I just give him my Voluum postback for example and that is all he needs? Ive never used Voluum with Adwords before, either. My experience with adwords is on the merchant/ecommerce side so I never had to track a conversion from another site.

Wouldnt my snippet on his page interfere with his snippet?

Depends on your snippet, but shouldn't be an issue if you follow this.

But this is really no long term solution if the advertiser wants to scale. It would be better to just have him deal with your postback instead, if he can support it.

Can you postback to Adwords?

In any case, yeah, if he wants to run affiliate traffic to his product he will inevitably need to invest in a proper tracking solution.
