Listed below you will find a list of the top traffic sources and what to run on them. I found this list a while ago so some things may be a bit outdated. I did my best to edit it and add more sources for you guys. If I am Missing any traffic sources please feel free to add to the list. I hope this list comes in use to you guys.
Top Search Ad Networks
Search Traffic - Pretty much any vertical works for the following three ad networks due to keyword targeting - Just comply with the ad networks policy (make sure the vertical you are promoting is allowed) and you should be fine.
Google AdWords - The King of search PPC. Google is very strict on what they allow to be advertised through their network. I suggest you read their policy before pushing any traffic.
Bing Ads - Alternative to AdWords. Not as Strict. Nice amount of traffic but not as much as AdWords.
7Search - Hard to find a converter on here but, still can be done.
Top Social Traffic Ad Networks
Facebook - Great targeting options, potential to make you rich very fast. Facebook is strict so be careful what you run. I highly recommend you read their advertiser guidelines first. I know a bunch of affiliates that have made millions of dollars advertising through Facebook. Pretty easy to get gaming offers approved. Dating is a no no and you can get your FB account banned. Dating converts great and can make you very rich but unless you have a way to get your ads approved I would not promote dating on Facebook. Once again, read their guidelines and comply. Facebook is infamous for terminating accounts.
TwitterAds- hear it's pretty hard to nail.
POF - Target dating users. Lots of targeting options. A bit saturated but still converts well. Great for beginners.
Cubics Adknowledge - Advertise across a selection of over 1200 Facebook apps
Top Contextual Ad Networks
What works best with contextual traffic? Gaming, Financial, Credit Reports, Software downloads, etc.
Trafficvance - Highest quality PPV traffic in the business. Requires $1000 deposit.
LeadImpact - Quality traffic, Lots of room to scale your campaigns. Requires $1000 deposit.
Media Traffic - Not my first choice, but they're a pretty good PPV network for single opt-in submits and gaming offers $200 miniumum deposit and at least $100 on each refill.
DirectCPV - They're okay. $100 minimum deposit. Low traffic.
AdOn Network- Decent amount of traffic, low minimum deposit. I haven't personally
tried this network but I hear they're okay. Not my first recommendation
but if you have a profitable campaign working on other PPV networks
it might be worth a try.
Top Mobile Ad Networks
Mobile is smoking hot .What works best with mobile? app installs, mobile gaming, mobile dating, pin submits , Anti-virus protection, Wallpapers, Battery Boosters, Sweepstakes (win a Phone) etc. Proper Mobile tracking is a MUST. Recommended Mobile trackers: STM version of prosper202, ImobiTrax, Mobaff.
Admob - AdMob is owned by Google, the AdMob platform works across all major devices including Android, iOS, and Windows Phone. AdMob has a network of more than one million advertisers.
Flurry- One of the leaders in mobile advertising. Billions of Impressions.
Millennial Media -High quality traffic. Millennial Media boasts “tens of thousands” of apps in its network and billions of impressions.
Airpush - Billions of Impressions across 9 ad formats, such as Banner Ads, Push Ads, Icon Ads , Dialog Ads etc.
Leadbolt - One of the top 25 advertising networks. Leadbolt works across Android and iOS. Ad formats - App Wall, Banner, Home Screen Icon, Interstitial and Push Notification.
InMobi - InMobi reaches 759 million monthly active users and serves billions of monthly ad impressions. 165 Countries are covered by InMobi.
Tapit - Billions of monthly impressions in over 150 countries. Real-Time Bidding.
Top Adult Ad Networks
What offers work best for adult traffic? Mainly adult dating offers, Male Enhancement Products ETC.
Traffic Junky - Billions of premium daily ad impressions. Large volumes of targeted web, mobile and tablet traffic.One of the most popular sources of adult traffic.
Exoclick - Another big time player for adult traffic. Over 125 billion monthly ad impressions.
TrafficForce - 12 Billion Premium Impressions served monthly.Web and mobile.
TrafficFactory - Billions of high quality ad impressions served daily. Desktop, Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows Phone and more...
Reporo - Lucrative Mobile Adult Ad Network. Reporo serve 30 billion mobile page impressions per month. Reporo provides global reach for advertisers across hundreds of countries.
TrafficBroker - Are you converting but not getting enough traffic on the major self serve platforms? Then this is a good choice for you. Buy a fixed amount of impressions. Traffic Broker is a managed adult traffic network.
EroAdvertsing - Global adult ad network, I have never personally tried them but I hear they are good. Web and mobile.
StarAdvertising- Star Advertising is an adult mobile ad network. Billions of monthly impressions with lots of targeting options.
TrafficHaus - Access to 1 Billion Ad Views Per Day new. NEW - Real-time Bidding Platform
JuicyAds - Cheap traffic here but be careful- there is a lot of sites with bot traffic on Juicy Ads. If you look hard enough and do the proper research, you can find some sites with quality traffic, and get it very cheap- you know what that means...a very nice ROI. Not my first choice though.
Top Display Networks
AdBlade - Self-serve, popular choice for the CPA affiliate.
50onRed - $500 to get started. Intext and display ads available.
Ad2Games- Lots of quality gaming traffic.
CPMStar - The largest performance ad network in the games space.Target audiences by channel, genre, geo-target, device and gamer type.
Engage:BDR -High quality display traffic. You'll need a decent budget.
Pulse360 CPC- based with lots of high quality traffic. It is expensive, will not work with low payout offers.
Advertising.com - Some of the best impressions on mobile, text, video and the web

Great list. Regarding PPV traffic I would also add 50onred - you put it as a display network but they're PPV traffic is also very good
