What CDN allows adult traffic?
I have a VPS in Europe but also run US campaigns.
So I thought it was time to setup a CDN for this purpose.
I know there is a CDN tutorial somewhere here on STM but couldn't find it.
After some research I believe RackSpace is the way to go.
However, they don't allow adult content.
Are there any other CDN services that are just as stable and allow Adult?
Thank you,
Dennis

Hmm, I just used the chat on their site and they told me adult content is no problem.
Is there any set-up tutorial available on STM ?

Rackspace is a good bet if they say adult is fine.
They have recently screwed up (updated...) their sign up process to make you choose a level of managed service, which you don't need if you aren't using cloud servers.
I'd talk to their live support about registering just to use Cloud Files/DNS/etc. and see what they say - you may need to register, choose a managed level then get refunded or something.

I just set-up a site and put the images/css etc. on RackSpace.
But guess what, the site from VPS is much faster then the one using the rackspace files...
At least, according to: http://www.webpagetest.org
The CDN is closer to the audience but it's still slower.
I don't get it...

I just talked to them and you only need to pay for the management services if you actually going to use a server.

When the assets get requested from the same domain as the site, the DNS is already done and cached, connections to the server are primed and keep alive is running.
When assets are requested from a new domain the DNS query has to be done, the connection has to be established etc.
Overall a CDN will improve the user experience, assets will be pushed closer to the user.

Well, OK, but that's only relevant with returning visitors.
So with first visits it's just going to be slower ?

First visits are slower when content hasn't yet been cached to the edge.
This doesn't mean the CDN will always be slower on initial visits because distance to users will always play a role.
Once content has been cached the DNS resolution/connect times will be much shorter. You need to prime a CDN before judging page load speed - test many times until you see caching impacting the results.

No-one better than Reflected. We host everything there, TF, PORN.com, PIMPROLL.com and all other dating, cam sites. We wouldn't move for anything.
Mindgeek also host all their huge sites there and have done for a long time.

I believe caurmen was going to do a test of CDN hosted LPs vs a VPS once. I tried searching for it but couldn't find it. Paging caurmen!
