Facebook ads still running after failed billing?

Hey,

So Facebook billed me like 30 hours ago as I reached my threshold (500$) but I didn't have the money on my CC to pay right away so I decided to wait for my aff networks to pay me.

However, even after failed billing my ads are still running and have spent another 200$ or so and created several new campaigns that all were approved and running too, wtf? Since when this has started happening?
As soon as billing failed all my ads were usually paused.

It must be a glitch. Never happened to me before!

For me in the past they gave a 24-48 hour grace period to allow you to update billing sources.

Well it's been about 48hours and I've spen another 500$ and still running LOL.
Maybe I should just take advantage of this glitch and spend as much as possible and then ditch the account.
Will Facebook try to get their money?

I've seen/heard this before, if you want to keep running on that account you will need to clear it, if not enjoy :P

So you are saying Facebook wont bother going after the money?

Facebook has bigger problems than chasing down an advertiser for $xxx when their system failed to bill them.

Do realise that the account itself may have a value of $x,xxx+... making new accounts reliably is not easy, so don't ignore the opportunity cost of burning that account.

Thx zeno! So ads finally stopped running, managed to burn a bit over 3k
And hit my first 1k day in the process
