Okay, so I have this Facebook dating campaign targeting the Philippines where there's barely any advertising. I quickly uploaded 50 images and only 1 ad copy variation so far just to see if it would be accepted.
Here's more info on the numbers:
Cupid FB app install @ $0.03/lead (I know...)
CTR: 1.5%
CPC: $0.01
CVR: about 9%-10%
Sure, I'm not profiting right now at the current payout (one scenario is a bump to $0.06 and get a CVR of 19% to get profitable LOL), but I'm thinking of asking for a bump to minimize my losses and keep running it for the sake of boosting my account's lifetime CTR and increasing my daily spend limit. Maybe even with more testing I can get a higher CTR.
It just sucks that there are really no offers in the Philippines I can get through as they're mostly mobile quizes from enterfactory.com which gets a bad rating from MyWOT.
What do you all think? Keep running the camp to boost my account CTR/increase my spend limit or should I just kill the campaign?
So what's your ROI now?
haha nice 0.03 per lead
, I'd personally ask for a bump before anything else! I'm sure they can do 10 cents!
the other issue your gonna run into in the phils is click issues.....i have seen discrepancies as much as 30% which can really screw with your profiatblity....often they start out ok but the degrade very fast
You could do CPM as it looks like your not and you will get sub-penny clicks....
1. Do CPM (as polar said!)
2. 1.5% CTR ! sweeeet
3. Find out what you can be bumped too, no reason not to...
Overall i do think it may be hard to profit off this for the longrun if you get it working, but i think it opens many opportunities for you to use whatever idea your'e using and try similar countries, or a similar idea with new offers. There are some networks that specialize in offers in Asia too (sorry don't know their names)
Thanks for the advice, everyone! Honestly, I'm just going to cut it as even with a bump, all that effort getting it profitable would not be worth it. Sure, I'd have like 200 conversions a day, but that's like $6.00 revenue! And ROI-wise, I was getting like -75% lol. Then with CPM I wasn't getting any traffic with the suggested bids. So raising my bids for CPM would still result in negative numbers.
@polarbacon - yeah, on top of click discrepancies, the conversions tanked pretty fast haha.
@stackman - well, I learned the basics of dating on Facebook and got a taste of how bidding works there. While I have more experience on POF, I definitely see myself finding much bigger success on Facebook. I just need to harness its volume.
I've also been inspired by how you boost CTR's on Facebook. Since high school, I've always been a Photoshop nut, putting friend's heads on celebs and whatnot, so that'll definitely come in handy.
The reason why I was able to get such high CTR's was because I was one of the only ads in the Filipino language of Tagalog (I know some of it because of my parents) and I utilized images of Filipino women that looked like they were from webcams lol. Not sure if you can still use the "You Have a Message" or "I Like You" headlines, but I managed to squeek those by in Tagalog. Too bad all the other offers in the country have such low payouts and are crappy in quality.
