I have a question related to pre-sells. A tiny bit of background first. I am getting ready to promote a mobile offer. My banners are all created and approved by my AM. The offers goes like this "mobile banner ad>>easy question to answer>>provide details>>get into draw to win something"
He was asking me if I intended to have a pre-sell or link directly from the banner to the offer. I'd like your experts views on this because this seems a bit counter intuitive to me.
What is the value of creating another page (i.e. the presell page) in this case? Is that not just an additional step people (i.e. those who click on the ad) will have to go through and will this not just make the whole sign up process tedious and cumbersome and put people off? Why would I have to create another page for people to provide information or read through or action before they can get to the actual offer.
In what cases would you say that a pre-sell page should be used and should not be used?
