*FAILED* Christian dating campaign, all details revealed, HELP!

so after having a successful campaign in the the adult dating niche I decided to do a complete 180 and try out christian dating on facebook. I am at a point where I am frustrated as all hell and looking to the community for some input. I don't know where to go frmo here, tested over 150 pics.

Demo was:
Women over 40
that love christianity/god and related keywords
that are single

I only tested one headline/ad copy cause I figured I would split test that once I got a CTR above .08.... never happened
These are the types of pics I tested:

Cartoon prince charming pics
cartoon business men
successul looking men
generic pictures of men
men with babies
men with a baby and the heads are reversed. (so the baby has the mans head and the man has the babys head)
men with cats
macho looking men
pictures of men with a light shining down on them as if an angel is calling out to them
men crying
men praying
angry men
pictures of cute couples
pictures of married couples
pictures of happy women

conversions were awesome, but holy shit nothing would maintain a high CTR. Couldn't find a single pic that would stay above .06%, I still managed to break even, even with the 60 cent clicks. My conclusion: The U.S is too damn saturated with dating ads

Complete dating noob here but don't you think that your demo is too obvious? Those Christian Dating offers have been popular for a long time so you can be assured that almost every dating aff promoted those offers or at least try to promote. I think you have to dig deeper when targeting instead of targeting the obvious keywords that pop into your mind when you hear "christian".

For the CTR it might help if you post some of the pictures you used for your ads.

This is why the competition is so tough. You can get $1 EPC's on good dating offers.

You need a unique angle to get high CTR's. Its definitely not easy.

You can get profitable with 0.1% CTR on dating offers but the margins are quite tight.

I find that dating offers are like fireworks. You have to wait for them to take off, they glow brightly for a very short period of time and then they're gone. Spent.

Dating, although evergreen, it at saturation point.
