Do my landers suck? Or something is wrong???

Stackers,

Got a question, I recently started using a lander in a mobile campaign i am running (first time making mobile landers), and i have gotten over 100 visits reported in Voluum but no clicks, i am rotating evenly between two landers.

when i load the link manually and i click thru to the offer it updates in Voluum so it looks like its working, which makes me think my landers suck! can someone offer some input on this?

Also my landers are hosted in my vps located in the US and the traffic is run in NZ, dont know if that would matter too much as far as latency is concerned...

Thanks in advance!

I would say NZ traffic to US server is the problem.

Does anyone even arrive on your landers?

Voluum is saying they do. As i see the visits maybe i should spin up a server closer to NZ and see if things change..

perhaps i could give a cdn a try.. do you guys know if cdns will allow to host landers with php scripts on them?

^It's not that they don't allow PHP files, they just don't support it.

CDN's only serve up static files like HTML, CSS, images etc. You'll need a server or your VPS to do the PHP'ing.

thats what i thought - thanks
I am standing up a vps in Singapore right now, thats as close as I can put a server to NZ given the locations available in my vps provider. I will report here if things get better.

This lander will not cut it, Im sorry.

1. you have errors on it, 500k installs is nothing special, the app was actually installed close to 500 million times if I'm not wrong. You are using that number to show how damn good it is, so make sure you amaze them with that massive number. Im no grammar nazi but "all rights reserve" sounds incorrect and the only 100 downloads allowed sounds pathetic to me, it would take them 13 years to "allow" even those 500k installs.

2. the flow of the copy is inconsistent and poorly written, first you start by listing what it is : is the worlds leading ..., makes your battery last longer... but what? I only see the app name in the left corner of the screenshot and its easy to overlook. Then you put something like a CTA line : get up to 50% ... that should be on the top as the headline or down as a cta button. Smart presets? WTF is that?

3. the top screenshot is hard to read, you simply took the one they have on google play. Dont be lazy! Do some on your own, or just use the logo or some battery icon.

You need to be more aggressive and clear with your lander, what issues are they having? Dont let them think what the issues are, thats your job as the marketer. So what are the issues? Short life, charging too often, not as good as new ... Tell them they need this app with clear headline like "Your battery dies too fast!", "Don't charge your battery twice a day!" ...

Also, this has been posted so many times, but let me repeat, keep it simple stupid, don't flood their minds with too many arguments, you're repeating yourself then.

Build the trust, use the google play store logo so they know where they are going. Use a common download icon on the CTA button etc...

There are so many ways you can improve your lander, so start working on it.

BTW : Not sure what kind of traffic are you buying for this, but if its banner clicks, make sure the angle is in par with what you use on the LP.

I was pushing this app hard, still am at a low level, the ideas I gave you are coming from real experience with this app so use them to your advantage.
One thing to keep in mind tho, everyone and their grandmother has been promoting this app already so its not converting nearly as good as it was so keep that in mind.

Good luck

EDIT : didnt notice that US/NZ remark. Loading speed of LP and the redirects will help you but its not something that will get your campaign from 100% loss to green numbers. Voluum also isnt hosted in NZ and you are going to continue running traffic through it. Using a CDN for this would certainly be a good idea but think about it as means to improve your conversions somewhat, not as a life saver.

Australia > Singapore connectivity can be good and can be bad. It depends on the ISP and routing.

I know as Oceanic (Aus/NZ) connectivity to gaming servers is a contentious issue out here with many companies only hosting on the US West Coast, or putting Asian servers in Singapore.

On forums users rage about this (e.g. @ Blizzard) and it's quite clear that some people get decent <75 ms pings to Singapore, others get 200+.

So, Ideally, I would roll out a VPS in Singapore. If you're using Voluum then you don't need a highly configured VPS. I'd recommend ServerMule or Vultr but there are likely quite a few AUS providers.

Sydney is the best place to have the VPS located.

I use Ocean Digital and I cloned my instance in the NY over there, i already have it up and running in Singapore, anyways looks like the distance wasnt the whole problem clearly based on what matuloo said my lander does suck and i am working on creating new ones, which i will place in my singapore instance.
