Does this not mean that you don't have any usage rights since you didn't buy them?
Thus negating the purpose of stock images?
Seems more like a guy trying to exploit a subscription to make money...
That guy is risking a lot, look at his other gig "I will provide any ThemeForest WordPress premium theme only for $7"
I wouldn't buy anything from him
I don't know the full details since I didn't buy it but decided to share it since people here might need photos.
+1 what zeno said
I also get a privacy error and a faulty https warning at that link.
I am wondering wwhat's going on with the copyright images if we use it? Will we be in court and facing penalty? How about if they cant find us as we are only using fake name/address on our hosting/domain registra? I am new to that, sorry
If you use copyrighted images without permission there is a chance you may get chased down by someone, and this chance increases with how much exposure your campaigns have, what vertical you're in, the company who's IP you're infringing on, and so on.
I have a section on it in the Onboarding Guides.
You may get a DMCA takedown, C&D, or face more severe legal action though this is less likely. For example, the guys who were running Garcinia and using Dr. Oz rampantly had him knocking on their door....
If you use fake name/address it won't stop someone who is highly motivated... I'm not sure how it works in different countries but they could get your name via credit card info, contact your bank, etc. Depends on how severe what you're doing is and how readily other parties will comply.
In the end, if you're new to this industry, play it safe. An experienced affiliate with the right setup may be able to evade and battle when needed but if you're a newbie with $5k in the bank then lawyers from Coca Cola just looking in your direction may be enough to put you in the red.
Yea i got sued and settled for $5k for using someone's picture w/o permission. Most of the time you don't get caught but I did... some people would of quit but I was determined to make it back lol
You can get $1 decent stock photos from Dollar Photo Club
