Typical newbie struggling with tracking (STM Tracker, Cake, Traffic Junky)

So I just got my first offer the other day (adult dating) and I've been working basically non-stop trying to get it started ever since. I have everything I need (server, tracking software, traffic source, creatives, landing page...but I just can't seem to wrap my head around tracking. I've asked my AM for assistance and he doesn't really know what to suggest at this point, as it works on the network side, but STM just won't see any clicks whatsoever. I've followed as many relevant tutorials as I can find, and still can't seem to get it going.

Here's what I'm using:

So I have set up campaign, LP, everything in STM and plugged the corresponding information back into cake. The affiliate URL I have in STM looks like
Code:
xxxxxx.com/?a=474627&c=31269&s2=milfaholics&s3=[[subid]]
My postback looks like
Code:
tracker.xxxxx.com/tracking202/static/gpb.php?amount=#price#&subid=#s3#
I found my pixel in Traffic Junky and it looks like
Code:
<img id="5004821_cpa_testing" src="https://ads.trafficjunky.net/tj_ads_pt?a=5004821&member_id=263841&cb=[RANDOM_NUMBER]&cti=[TRANSACTION_UNIQ_ID]&ctv=[VALUE_OF_THE_TRANSACTION]&ctd=[TRANSACTION_DESCRIPTION]" width="1" height="1" border="0">
I test it in CAKE and the click registers, but then I go to STM and no such luck. Does anyone have any advice for me? I would really, really, really appreciate some insight as to what exactly is going wrong here. This is really the only thing holding me back from launching.

What URL are you using for your TJ ads?

Also, make sure you have no filters on in the p202 tracker - i.e. nothing in the search (filter) bar or an erroneous date range selected.

Hi zeno, thanks for the reply.

I've been using the tracking URL generated by p202, as well as trying a direct link. My p202 LP generated link looks like this: http://tracker.xxxxxxxxxxx.com/track....php?lpip=515&

Now that I look at this link, it should have a subid in there, shouldn't it?

I put the .php script as generated by "#6 Get LP Code" in my landing page code, and have verified that the CTA link is indeed working. I followed your process as described in this thread:http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...=tracking+walk. I don't see anything wrong with the filters- I have tried showing the last week even though I've only been using STM for less than 24 hours. I don't have any keywords or anything entered in the visitors tab, nor does anything show up in the spy tab. Didn't want to make that mistake when you laid it out so clearly for someone else already

I'm at the point where the more time I spend looking at this, the less sense it makes. I have yet to take this live and have only tried testing it from my own computer, as I don't want to waste my budget when I can't be confident tracking will work. Is this the issue?

Hmm I have no idea what's going on - hard of course to diagnose something without looking myself.

Since tracking is so vital, I'd recommend just transitioning over to Voluum to avoid an issues with technical/server setup. It will take a few hours to figure out the new platform but it will be worth it.

Well damn, I guess the Maxmind database purchase was totally unwarranted then...

Set up in Voluum and it's now working with almost no issue. Visits and clicks are showing up, not sure about conversions but I guess I'll have to wait and see for that one . Still strange behaviour though. I added the http://xxxxx.voluumtrk.com/click click URL as my landing page CTA and it works no problem on my laptop. However, trying it on my iPad or iPhone gives an error 400:

Visit data was missing when handling click. To redirect a click, you must go through your campaign URL. Details: URL parameter 'voluumdata' is missing.

Why would it work on my computer but not my mobile devices? This is no good considering I'm running a mobile offer...

The saga continues!

EDIT:
Help section in Voluum says this for error 400...
Your landing page was accessed directly (not through campaign url [ad]), therefore, a click was not recorded

Is this because I'm OCD and testing it without the campaign actually being live? Should I just STFU and launch already?

If you want the /click URLs to work you can't visit your lander via it's URL directly, you have to go via the Voluum campaign URL.

Otherwise when you click the CTA you send yourself to Voluum but Voluum has no data on what campaign you came from and where you should be sent.
