Sitescout postback URL in Voluum

So I am trying to add Sitescout as a traffic source in Voluum.

I am not sure what to put in the "Postback URL" box.

IamAttila gives this advice on his blog here:

http://iamattila.com/voluum-tutorial...-to-voluum.php

HOwever this is a bit vague as to what the Postback URL should be and where to get it from.

What I am thinking is to use the URL part of the conversion pixel from the 'get tags' part of the offers/conversion pixels section As this URL changes for every offer it means that, in affect you cant put an all purpose Postback URL in Voluum for this traffic source. This is the only conclusion I can draw but it seems bizarre and would mean I could only run one offer at a time and would have to change the postback url everytime I changed offer.

Surely I am wrong about this?

Can anyone help?

Charles Ngo's guide explains how to setup a postback pixel:

These guides are from the tracker:

Thanks for the reply but I think that is dealing with the postback URl from aff network to Voluum but not the postback url from Voluum to traffic source. In fact in his example the postback url in the campaign (postback to traffic source) is left blank.

Hmm still really confused. For example Decisive has this postback URL: http://win.crwd.io/convert/{externalid} . I set this in the Voluum traffic source and it works with every campaign.

Is their an equivalent for the sitescout traffic source? I am pretty sure there isnt, and I will have to set this for each campaign according to which offer I am running. I am not 100% sure on this though can anyone confirm or tell me otherwise?

"Is their an equivalent for the sitescout traffic source?"

Code:
Example:
http://clickserv2.sitescout.com/conv/a227ad4326795?pb=f5cdf90e6130d%2Fd097ce3e760e%2F2-575%2F2%2F%2C100.100.250.133 (example value)
I've not used SiteScout, but from what I understand, you'd create a Postback Conversion URL for each offer.

http://www.sitescout.com/support/conversion-tracking/

See sections:
Creating and Placing Conversion Pixels
Postback Conversion Tracking

If you're still struggling, try contacting SiteScout directly (their contact no. is on the link above).

No need to give the traffic source the postback. Just leave it empty.

I guess so yeah as Voluum will still get all the data right?

I just emailed their support team the same thing. Here's what they sent me...

"Please feel free to visit http://screencast.com/t/LIedBsqI3U for a quick 25-second video on how to generate a postback URL. Also, please feel free to visit http://www.sitescout.com/support/con...king/#postback for additional postback documentation."

I've followed what the video suggests and entered the generated URL as the traffic source postback URL. Still creating the campaign so don't know whether this is correct yet.

In your traffic source setup in Voluum for SiteScout, add {POSTBACKID} as your placeholder for externalid.

Then your URL used at SiteScout should have e.g. ...&externalid={POSTBACKID}&... in it somewhere.

Then, in your traffic source setup in Voluum for SiteScout, add the following (example) as your postback URL:

http://clickserv2.sitescout.com/conv/a227ad4326795?pb={externalid}

Campaign is running. Voluum only tracking conversions but nothing else. However Sitescout is tracking everything so that is fine.

Actually I just realised that I dont really need Voluum for this campaign as it is direct linked so everything I need is on sitescout anyway.

However I do need to get my head round this for the future.

Thanks .

What do you mean by Voluum doesn't track anything else?

If it's direct-linked you should see only visits (no clicks) and obviously all the lookup data (device, OS, browser, etc) and any custom parameters you have passed.
