B2B or B2C? Help. Need advice on what type of email marketing strategies to use! (1)

hello! I am just starting to look into optimizing my email marketing campaign, and I have a little over 1,500 people on my list and growing. I run a review site with tons of affiliate links, and I have set up only about 12 auto-responders, with the majority of the list backed up to the newest release.

I wanted to know if anyone can give me some advice on what type of strategies to use like Business to business (b2b) or business to consumer (b2c) when it comes to the "best time" to consistently send out emails to get the best open rate possible. Also, I'm averaging about 30-45 email signups a day, how many auto-responders would you feel comfortable setting up? I've been thinking somewhere around 50. 50 seems like a safe number for now, but I would love any and all feedback.
