Hi Guys
I decided to put a stop on reading STM follow alongs & all because in order to achieve mobile success I must start taking actions. Just like what Charles Ngo said. I have no experience it this but I'm all in for this until it's successful. Therefore, I hope you guys can guide me through the ups & downs.
I'm starting with The Appetiser
Approved Aff networks:
Clickdealer
Approved Traffic networks:
Decisive
Tracking Tools
I will be promoting DU speed Booster at $0.35 CPA. This offer is available for many geos.
I just did my spying tool (Whatrunswhere) to spy on the competitions. It gave me an idea on how the banners look like IE: Colours, pictures, Sizes, wordings.
After I'm done with spying, I've created a few angles.
These are the angles :
1.) Boost Your Andriod Speed In 60 Seconds
2.) Speed Up Your Gaming Speed Now
3.) Phone Lag? We Can Boost Your Phone Speed Now
4.) Laggy Games? Boost your game speed In 60 Seconds
5.) This Speed Booster Is Better Than Your Speed Booster
6.) Speed up your games in 60 seconds
7.) Slow Download? Download your game fast now
8.) Hate Lag Androids? Speed up your android in 60 seconds
The next step:
I'm gonna create 8 different banners. I will get it done by tonight.
This is what I've done so far. The process is a lil complicating for the first time. But I'm very keen to learn & keep the momentum going.
I hope you guys can give me some feedbacks on what I've done wrong & I should do next.
Will keep you guys posted.
Thank You
From Malaysia
Sweet! Can't wait to see your progression! Me too I'm going to start creating banners soon, gotta get to work!
Cool. Let's get things done and dirty. I was thinking if we could join a newbie mastermind group? I believe we will learn and progress faster
Alright. I have officially set a live campaign follow the Mobile Appetiser.
My smart CPM is 1.5 X $0.35 (CPA) - Is this correct?
I'm targeting Singapore ( GEOS)
Setted 4 Live Campaigns Shown in the screenshot
1.) WIFI- SITE
2.) Mobile- Site
3.) Mobile- APP
4.) Wifi - APP
And i attached 8 banners with different angles.

Now I'm waiting for my ads to be approved. Wish me luck.
My journey begins here.
Please feel free to comment here. I'm a total newbie.
P/S: Never Give Up
I'd recommend testing some ads with darker backgrounds and light text - white isn't often the best background colour to use.
Alright sure. I will create them after testing these angles. Thanks.
I have a question on creating a mobile landing page.
Besides using this technique to create Lp (http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...+mobile+lander)
Is there any other ways to create LP? Because i'm encountering some problem viewing on my phone .
You can either do it by hand, use a piece of software, or combine both.
There's no secret to it you just have to figure out the technical challenges.
What problems are you encountering? If you don't know/learn basic HTML/CSS then building a mobile lander will be hard. In fact, editing and making most landers will be hard.
Okay. I'm facing problem viewing on the phone. I managed to use CODA to create the exact LP. Now i just need to know how to view on Mobile ?
Just open it in Firefox or Chrome and emulate a mobile device.
In Firefox hit ctrl+shift+m and change the screen size.
In Chrome hit F12 > emulation tab > device > choose a model and tick emulate mobile.
Okay thanks.
Just one more question. Do I need to upload this to hosting ? Do I need to buy a new hosting ?
I just uploaded in one of my site which has the website name in my url. Does it affect if we use it for campaign?
You really need to get on top of these basics before running campaigns.
You can host your landing page on a CDN such as Rackspace Cloud Files. You will need to upload all of the files to somewhere (e.g. a CDN container, or a server) so that you can access them through a URL.
I'm not sure what site you are using at the moment, or where it is hosted, or how appropriate it is for landing page hosting.
Key thing - is your hosting shared, vps, or dedicated? If it's shared I'd really not recommend using it for AM.
Thanks guys for guiding me through.
Finally, i've build 8 angle Landing Pages & Set the trackings in
I have tested the link from decisive banners and they are completely fine.
I have a question before i proceed to launching my campaign.
Did i miss out any steps? Is there anything else to do before starting collecting datas?
Please feel free to comment.
Thanks
Just FYI. I copied the URL from the decisive banner. And this is the link http://9tpbo.voluumtrk.com/10158d1b-...hash={bidhash}
Would appreciate if you can comment on everything because i'm eager to learn my trials and errors =D
Have you clicked through that link yourself? Are you seeing the visits and clickthroughs recorded in
If so, I'd say you're good to go!
Yes. I have checked through and I am able to track the clicks .
Alright I will start campaign.
Btw, I wanna understand how the 8 different landers are being tested/clicked ? There are 8 landers which I've uploaded in
How do they match 8 banners and 8 landers together?
Thanks
I'm curious how it works.
8 landers is too many to test initially.
You set them up to rotate in your campaign configuration, just click add landing page.
Where did you get them? Pick the best few. I noticed the one linked to is also not mobile responsive - it really should be otherwise it may not display well on smaller devices.
You should use something like BrowserStack to test what the lander will look like on various mobile devices.
If loading your campaign link works, and clicking on the CTA button takes you to the offer, and the data appears in
Yes. I have checked it. I will start campaign tomorrow to collect datas.
I have 1 more question
1.) I have added 2 LP in
Thanks
the landers should be split evenly if the numbers are 100 and 100 each
an easy way to check is to just click the link yourself and see if the landing pages rotate evenly
Thanks

Day 1 Campaign
Finally i have started my journey.
First, i would like to ask about this. Is these traffic rate normal on weekends?
I'm targeting Singapore - DU Speed Booster Offer at $0.35 CPA.
CTR- 18.73%
Clicks- 47
Conversion- 0
Please advise.
Up those bids!
You're only winning 4.5% of the app traffic available.
What budget did you set?

Okay. I guess there's something wrong too. lol. Sorry newbie in action.
I attached the screenshot of the bidding (Smart CPM)
Daily Limit - $5
CPA Goal- 1.5 Times my CPA
Questions
1.) how do i up my bid & win more app traffic available?
2.) Where do i see my bid? Only see these two.
3.) How much traffic should we be aiming/winning?
Thanks
I am following the mobile appetiser method.
How much i should set ideally?
I don't quite understand actually on which determines the amount of traffic. Is it daily limit?
Its a combination of factors but your bid is probably the most important.
I think anything under a $25/day budget will severely limit your impressions. I would start at $25-$50/day on day one - let the crap placements come so you can block them quickly. Then up to min $50/day from day 2 onwards but keep a close eye on crappy placements the first few days especially.
$5/day will get you nowhere fast
I have just increased. I can't go any further for now so i guess data will be slow.
it's $8 per campaign and i have 4 campaigns which sum up to $32.
Is this correct?
What's your opinion on this?
I'm following mobile appetiser guide btw
Just follow the appetiser for now - $8 each over 4 campaigns giving $32/day is fine to start but do be aware it's this way to be slow-paced for beginners and it will indeed take a while to get data.
In your situation I'd advise this since spending more may give a bit of data overload and analysis paralysis.
how is it going now?
