Been testing out a ton of banners on POF these 2 weeks.
Targeting:
Male
UK
Age range 30-40, 40-50
<50 login
Dating Offer (RussianBrides)
Seen no conversions on anything yet but we're keeping to the rules of 2000-2500 imp per banner then judging from that.
Currently we're cutting anything with a CTR <0.1 and keeping anything above that.
We're now in the process of testing these banners that have yielded >0.1 ctr and changing headlines, copy, cta's and pics to try and improve on these.
LP wise we're going for more of a persuasive copy angle than the countdown/ questions approach that I'm seeing a lot of whilst spying.
1 Lp has a CTR >55% after 50+ views and others are hovering around 30-40% after a similar amount of views. Still none are yet to convert!
Just got a few more similar offers from different networks, as we were running with just the one originally (I realise now thats a little stupid).
Reading all kinds of different figures on follow alongs etc and I realise it depends massively on a lot of variables what kind of CTR's you should be looking for.
So can anyone spread some light on just what is their acceptable CTR for Banners and LP's with regards to similar target traffic?
