How Would You Monetize an email, phone list of 150,000?

I have a business partner in the lead business and he came to me yesterday and said, "I have a list of 150,000 people who opted in on my mortgage lead site and not sure if we can make any money off them with affiliate offers." I told him I am sure I can figure something out

He has a few lists (Mortgage, Debt Conolidation, Loan mod, Tax Relief, Student Debt) with a lot of detailed information (ex: Mortgage = Homeowner, good/excellent credit, no mortgage lates, email, physical address, phone number, loan info, date/timestamp, IP address) and trying to determine the best way to monetize.

Any ideas for the AM pros out there? Thanks!

You can sell them as legacy data. It won't get much, but there are buyers out there. Shoot me a PM with more info and I can connect you to the right folks.

If you have that much information, give MacroMark a call. They rent lists of address to direct advertisers.

Is there any relationship at all between the list owner and the names or were any follow up emails/communication of a purely corporate nature?

jennatalia is quite right, MacroMark would be quite happy with that list, there are a ton of financial planners, college planners, insurance agents, realtors (well, the few smart ones), etc. who'd rent the list for sure....list rental is the easiest money you'll ever make, just sent it to the list broker, let them work their magic, then go to the mailbox once a month to get your check.

The list owner also owns the website where the leads were generated. They were sold one time, as real time leads, to mortgage lenders. Half if the mortgage leads (bad, poor credit) were sold off to credit repair companies as real time mortgage turn-downs. No follow up has been done as he strictly uses these to generate leads and sells them off.

I am trying to determine whether we can do an after offer on the thank you page to get them to optin to other lists. That might be something to do moving forward.
