Click Fraud?
Hey guys,
I just checked over my stats at AppFlood and have come across one SubID recording 100's of clicks over several days, i'll attach an image of my stats, could this be some sort of click fraud?

doesn't have to be that, are the click IP's the same as well?

It would be bad click fraud if it was - an ad network/publisher loading an identical link over and over is easy to spot.
It could be bots/spies automatically checking your ad URLs.

don't mean to threadjack, but I also saw something a bit odd on a campaign I was not too long ago.
it was all carrier traffic. same IP's, multiple conversions. incredibly high lander CTR, some over 100% and with about a 80% clickloss to offer.
tested wifi traffic and everything seemed normal. no clickloss, typical lander CTR etc

cheers

Hmmm ok, what would be the next step for it?
I'd check the IP addresses but im using decisive as my tracker for now so can't check them.
They're small numbers though so might be worth ignoring for the time being too.

@aushustler87 - if it's insignificant numbers I'd ignore it - just keep an eye out in case they get bigger.
@angry old lady - that's decidedly weird! I see that the IPs are all from the same subnet, but that could just be because they're from the same carrier. Did the network have any problems with the conversions or were they all fine and dandy?

yes they are all from the same carrier. but what really gets me is the incredibly high lander CTR and clickloss. ive seen the lander CTR as high as about 250%.
and yeah. wifi traffic. everything looks normal.
no mention about bad conversions from the network. but ill ask about it anyway
EDIT: just got an email from
Voluum support. I asked them about it
Hi Kiefer,
This can be caused by the user clicking multiple times on the offer link within your landing page.
It's also worth to take into account that
Voluum logs raw data whereas your network may track unique only. i.e. the discrepancy you are experiencing in reporting between Voluum and your network.
Note: I've taken a look over your IP reports and there is no need for concern. i.e. the visit/click ratio is not conducive of bot traffic.
that makes sense about the clickloss actually
