hey guys,
Not sure why I'm drawing a blank here, but here's the setup:
1) I have an optin page.
2) When the person opts in, the "thank you" page URL in aweber is a prosper202 offer link rotating between 2 different offers.
3) I'm buying e-mail blasts from various people.
4) I want to be able to track which persons e-mail drops give the highest opt-in rate and also the highest amount of revenue.
5) I'm placing Prosper conversion pixels on the thank you pages for both offers.
I'm testing this out tomorrow, but the way I've set it up is the optin page is it's own offer. When I "get links", I'm using a "direct link" to the optin page.
I didn't set up the optin page as a simple landing page because I have to use the thank you URL in Prosper. Thinking out loud here though I guess I could send that link to a PHP file (the one prosper gives you) which rotates the 2 offers?
Any ideas on how best to do this, in order to track both metrics of optin and sale?
Thanks in advance.
just a real dumb question right of the bat....why not use cpvlab its makes all of that easy.....
not a 202 guru but couldnt you track the "ctr" the lander as the optin rate...just pass whatver variables you need to page to page as a cookie....i have done something similar on multi page offers...or where people are gonna be navigating the site.....
Sounds like a headache...
but what I would do is set up a separate campaign for each traffic source (your email blast guys).
set up a php rotator for your offers after they hit the "thank you" page.
this will allow you to see what guy is providing the best opt-in rate or whatever you are wanting and you are also able to track the performance of the offers in the rotator.
Is your biggest problem keeping the traffic sources separate?
^^ yes because I posted it after this one.
I figured Prosper should be able to do this with it's pixel tracking, simple trackers like hypertracker can do it no prob.
I think I know how to do this now. I'll need to place 2 separate pixels on the 2 separate offer thank you pages, setup the optin page as a simple landing page, and make the redirect in aweber a link to a php page that has the "simple landing page offer code" so it rotates the 2 offers, and registers the "click through", which is really the optin.
