Hi, only been at this a few weeks. Followed the awesome relevant guides on here to set up etc and the advice on choosing POF as our initially traffic source for its specific targeting capabilities.
I, (like a lot of others I expect) am finding all our uploaded creatives rejected for bizarre and completely unrelated reasons, twice daily. For about 4 days now.
Obviously we persist. But its become so counter productive- too the point of slowing/ killing momentum in data gathering and testing. We've decided to search for alternative traffic sources where we can gather a bit more speed and get some stuff up while we wait for approvals on POF.
So need a plan-b on where we can blow some money on data. To that end my queezy is;
Where else can two beginners get their traffic fix pushing dating offers?
Thanks in advance and excuse moaning.
Tom
There's always PPV.
About POF ad approval. Getting your ads approved is all part of the journey. Everybody goes through it. Maybe try focusing more on female campaigns to get some money flowing a little.
For what it's worth ads that are extremely sexual aren't always the best ads anyway. Seriously, I can't tell you how many times I slipped one past the goalie only to see it bomb afterwards.
Anyway, Good luck

Ever since FB started clamping down on dating ads, that's really put a damper on things.
I agree, alternatives to POF would be great, the more options the better. POF is just super saturated and it takes some work, time and money to find a creative that'll drive quality users to your offer. Moreso than Facebook in my experience.
Another option besides POF is thinking where your demographic hangs out and doing media buys or otherwise targeting them. If you're targeting 40 year old divorced men for example, you don't necessarily need to do that on POF. You might find them on sports car sites, Scotch / Whiskey enthusiast type sites, or career development sites.
One thing that's worth remembering about POF - and one of the reasons why I still recommend it so much - is that their staff are very friendly to affiliates.
That means that unlike Facebook or anywhere similar, you can actually PM Ben@POF or email him and ask why your creatives were disapproved.
If you're getting consistent disapprovals, I'd strongly recommend that. (In fact, he may well pop up on this thread shortly!).
Get in touch and see what's going wrong!
@blofield -good guess on the traffic, painted the picture of the 40yr divorcee as a pretty indulgent one- new angle: Forget women- they're making your life a misery...
@caurmen- Yeah to be fair to them got back to my disgruntled email pretty quick at POF HQ- didn't have the right kind of cta for the offers we're running apparently. Lesson learnt: Don't be a cocky bollocks because you got away with it once before.
Thanks guys
