Porn niche domains- are they worth pushing?
Hey guys,
I still have a few porn niche domains liyng around: barefeetporn.com, porntube.pw, teenporn.pw, teenporntube.pw and teentube.pw
there is nothing on yet and either I drop them or monetize. Don't know if traffic targets them.
I registered them after reading from Finch that most men have foot fetishes and figuring out that most people on pornmd like Teen porn.
However I don't know if it is worth diving into any of these niches.
Also I signed up at http://www.fetishhits.com/ for content.
I thought about creating a tube site with adultvideoscript on these domains, put content on them, popunder and other ads and raise traffic via plugrush.
As plugrush costs $1.5/k and popads earns about $4/k I thought that would be a nice arbitrage.
Now the question is: Should I spend all the time setting it up and test it, or drop my domain names and focus on sth else?!
They are just too nice not to ask here...
BTW: I have had some success with pof and currently do arbitrage with popunders and YTZ.
Of course in case you suggest I go ahead and push my domains, I will create a nice follow up
Thanks a lot guys!

Domain names do not matter that much anymore, those times when google ranked domains for matching keywords are long gone. You can of course develop them and its always good to have the domain match your niche, but its not really gonna give you any special boost.
As for the arbitrage idea with plugrush, its not gonna work that easily because of a few reasons. First of all, part of the traffic you will get are bots but the real problem will be the loss of hits. It will be something like this, plugrush will charge you for 1000 hits/pops but only about 500-700 will reach your site, out of these 500-700 you will only get about 300 counted by any popunder network who youre going to be selling them to. These numbers can vary a bit one way or another but thats how it works. Then there will be the GEOs, you can get 4 bucks for some but certainly not for all. It is doable but its not that easy

i owned over 100 tube sites, and to make a long story short - google killed them all.
to do a tube site right today you need a mega budget, because you must build so google is not part of the traffic equation, their organic is more like the icing on the cake

I don't do SEO, but trying to rank a tube site of any kind on Google to make money sounds like a complete waste of time.

There are certainly better type of sites to focus your SEO efforts on, but even tubes might work, until they get killed like in Attila's case

When doing this, you gotta think about 100 or 200 tubes, each getting couple 1000s of hits per day, trading traffic within this network and with other similar sites - then it really ads up and you can deliver quite massive amount of banner impressions.

I was in the xxx in the golden days 98-2005. I quited to early maybee, but allready then it started to go down..cos of to much free stuff. I was allready in the niche market , womans feets, hentai and anime, gay hentai TPG ,
You might can ask at @go fuck yourself board @ gfy.com board about adult stuff. but what i know maybee only a few 5-10 % of the people made money in midd 2000 are still in.. Its hard to start from 0 today shuld be very niche and you need to have content that you bought yourself exlusivity. I know a german who was early and whent to India and started to do movies . He made a killing, cos no one even thought about indian niche in early 2000 it was dark american latinos or indian looking black girls from La who acted indian with the red dot .
My advice
I know that some people says thumble is possible to start from 0 and get decent traffic in a couple of months. * i did not tryed .
but forget google. Maybee google in a niche market with localy content cam and vid localy language and all.
So if you have the buck to be really niche.. like rare fetish, or rare racial mix content , make your own content or buy it exlucive.
Domain.
Those not really matter much anymore. If you have good content people will bookmark it ..and comeback .
The days with keyword domains helping out is gone. Remember me of good old days, with Thumbzilla and Thehun.com the lady at persiankitty.com people used different names ... that had nothing to do with xxx .

Sorry but what you posted simply isnt true from a large part.
- gfy? Yup, nice place to hangout with wannabee webmasters, talking about cars, whores, surfers who pretend they are killing it and browsing "would you hit it" threads

Of course there is a ton of veterans on there, but there are rarely any business threads to read. Its the biggest adult forum, but only with a few biz threads. I certainly would go there for advice.
- exclusive content? Sure, if hes gonna make a paid site or a site that utilizes some kind of a subscription model. For a free site? Fuck no!
- thumble - did you mean TUBE or something with TGP? Both are doable, but in order for them to be successful you do need the google traffic indeed. Even if its just a couple 100s hits per day, it helps to start the trades and can get the ball rolling. Google will send traffic to adult sites, just dont expect to run solely on it, thats what has changed.
Its true that MANY adult webmasters left the biz lately, especially around 2010 or so, when the crysis sent the biz to its knees generally and tubes gave it the punch of mercy

A huge part of those who left tho, had one thing in common, they never treated adult as a business. I knew many of them - when I told them I buy traffic to get trades going, they were looking at me like I just fell from the moon. When I mentioned I employ some people to help me run my sites, they didnt understand why I did that. The general idea of investing money into adult was unacceptable to them. So they are gone and Im still here, along with the others who got it soon enough.
Its also very true that adult is way more complicated now than it was just 5 years ago, even more when you look back into the pre-2000 era when we both started (launched my first adult site in 1998 too). Back then it was so easy I couldnt believe it, that has changed and now its business like any other. Still possible to bank in it, but certainly not if youre not willing to give it the work it needs.

Most of what i said was not true according to you, anyway you agreed on all execpt content. And i disagree, its okey we can disagree but dont say most of things i said is not true when you agree on more than 50 % . The adult industry would have been much better with more webmasters willing to spend some money on unique content that is why i left it , cos i was honest i spent alot of money on new content and try new ways , when newbie webmasters just ripping content for free..
Tube, tgp, no Thumblr.com you can still make some money on good traffic inside there if you creat a niche site there that is what i have been told.

I actually didnt agree with more things : using exclusive content on free sites, google not sedning any traffic, going to gfy for advice, people bookmarking and coming back (not gonna happen unless you build a mega tube for example)... I agree many people left and the game is tough now. I dont want to argue with you tho, certainly not on a forum like this. Didnt mean to sound harsh or anything, just didnt agree with what you posted, thats all.
