I always thought it was around 750x500 but now when I see my own popups my CTA is way below the fold. So with toolbars and other things are you just moving your cta to the upper half? or making your pages smaller?
Use the popup preview tool on affexpert.
It's the best match to the real size you will get.
Yea ive been using that, but I still noticed a huge size differences with toolbars installed. Have you?
I stick to 750x400, but that's based on what I've been hearing. I'm not sure if there's really any way to find out the average true pop-up size. Just make sure you think about variations that can happen when designing your LP.
Well, you can't really predict how many toolbars the user will have installed.
The tool takes into consideration the address bar and the blue bar at the bottom.
When I do research using the hotbar, it seems like NONE of the pops fit in the window correctly. I guess people just don't realize the correct dimensions they need to make their lander or something.
You would think people would do a little research and find out first. Use the affexpert tool like bbrock said though, it is pretty accurate and has worked well for me.
750x400 is what I have always used. And I tend to keep everything important as far up on the lander as possible in case the user has mad toolbars installed
God why does LI make the pop include all those toolbars. So retarded like WTF.
