I get angles (at least i think I do). I do have a question about implementation though.
Say I have a diet pill.
I have 2 angles:
01) Negative Emotions
02) Keeping up with the jonses.
So for 1a) I come up with a hot girl with a fat guy with a red circle and slash through it and it says she doesn't date fattys. Then I come up with a 1b) hot girl with a jacked guy and it says she dates him do you look like him? Etc etc. My question is aren't you supposed to try different colors, and animations and all that?
For 2a) I come up with everyone else is in shape are you? Etc
The reason I am confused is the standard advice of to test an offer come up with 2 angles, then come up with 5 - 10 banners for each angle.
This is the first time I am trying to incorporate angels.
So are 1a & 1b two different implementations of angle 1 or 2 angels in and of themselves? If angle 1a & 1b are angles of 1 then how do I test the animation, colors, fonts, all this bullshit. Lets say I have 10 ideas for each banner. That means each angle at that point would have 100 banners. Is that correct? Angle 1 (10 ideas x 10 implementation) = 100
Does this question even make sense??

Your angles are correct.

Those are banner optimization elements.
For each angle, create 5 banners (different image for each) = 10 banners in total. Test the banners.
Once you find a winning banner, then split test optimization elements, like the ones you've stated.
Ex: if banner 3 is best, then split test: red banner 3 against blue banner 3.
