I'm a noob starting with Mobile Cookbook - Appetizer. Since I have had very few conversions and in the spirit kaizen, I am trying to improve my banners. Please provide any suggestions - color(s), pics, format, variance, style, etc, etc, etc. Any and all suggestions, advice, recommendations for educational resources/forums/books/blogs are very much welcome.

-- the banners are just plain boring imho, as you work in a niche that was very popular months ago, each user has probably seen some ad for an antivirus at least 20 times
-- banners are too similiar to each other
You need to test it, but I'd try sth like that:
-- "Your phone might stop working tomorrow 8am. Remove virus to maintain functionality"
-- "You better remove that virus or you might have to buy a new phone soon!"
-- "Your phone is slower than your grandma? Turn it into a world-class olympics"
-- "COCAINE for your phone! Have your phone SPEED up like crazy"
I try to give the user a CONCRETE picture in of a situation to DESIRE or AVOID in my ads and lps ... but don't know how others think about that.
What you have at the moment are fine to start with. Let data design banners for you after you tests the ones you have.
