My first jump into affiliate marketing - Mobile Appetizer

Hey everyone! So i decided on doing a follow along post to track what im doing and also to get some feedback from all of you!

I decided to take an offer from F5 Media and advertise it with Decisive.

Lovoo for Android, 144 volume rank, and 0.1111 CR (i figured this was a good one to go with due to the high volume and CR)

I have recently applied to market the following campaign but have not yet gotten the approval. While waiting for the approval i came up with a few banners which you can see below, please dont hold back and let me know if anything needs to be changed.

Thanks!

hey, welcome.
my experience on banner is that a dynamic gif could always have a good performance than a static one.

You should present more information on your campaign, e.g. targeting, country, how you have structured campaigns, etc. so that we can give better feedback.

For now, I think you need to test more banners and angles. Other ad copy/styles, focus on things Lovoo can offer that people want and their pain points.

I'd put money on any banner with married in it performing really badly lols.

Just to get it straight i should take out the married copy i have in it?

Just test a lot of other ads with and without and see what happens.

My instincts tell me that using the word 'married' in the ad will be counter productive, but I could be wrong.

Thanks Zeno for the info, i decided to throw it in along with a few more banners i made just to test it out and see what happens. So far Decisive approved all my banners and i wanted to start them off . However i was wondering, is it possible to make Decisive show the adds to female's only? I noticed that there is a gender group which shows up in the live reports and i have no idea on how to block out the male audience.

Thanks,
Jack

If you target female in the campaign settings it will be inclusive, i.e. only target them.

However, be aware that this type of targeting a) isn't 100% accurate and b) will likely cut down your traffic a lot. Check the planner for your country. It's highly likely that only 1-20% of the traffic is gender categorised at all. And as I said, it might not be that accurate.

It is definitely something to split test, not pin all your campaigns on.

k thanks ill try setting it up to target all and well see what happens. So far im down $10 approximately 250 clicks in and no conversions, already feels like i royally fuked up on this one lol. ill stick it through and see what happens, after all i did just set this one up to start something and learn how it all works.

so spent close to 16$ and got about 450 clicks without any conversions. Now while on decisive i click on my ads on the left and it takes me to a completely different website called mingle-singles.com, i checked this on my computer and im guessing it can be one of three things 1. this is where all my traffic got sent to, 2. since im checking it on a computer rather then a phone or tablet thats why im being directed there, or 3. its just what decisive is sending me to as an add? is there any other way i can make sure that it is being directed to my offer? when i check F5 it shows that i did infact get 450 clicks with 0 conversions, does this mean that my traffic did get sent to my offer and none of them really did convert? any info on this will be much appreciated.

THanks,
Jack

I've run quite a bit of traffic these days on decisive and the gender option doesn't promise much. Very little traffic gets categorized by gender, so you're going to cut out a lot of potential traffic (not just by selecting gender).

You're being redirected to mingle-singles.com by your F5 Media, not decisive. This is caused by the GEO redirection.

If you want to view the offer, install HideMyAss and select a proxy from the correct country, then click your offer

And if the traffic was from the correct country for the offer and went through your affiliate link, they would have seen the offer (not mingle-singles.com). They just didn't convert, so you'll need to block placements, check your creatives, landers and angles etc.
