How old to be considered dead?
I was reading one of the Brazil mobile follow alongs (http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...ghlight=brazil) and a lot of people suggested to kill it partially because of how old the offer is.
I've been making banners for my first offer and reconsidering the offer after seeing this. Using the mobile cookbook, I selected DU Speed Booster - BR which meets the low payout <$1 and app install criteria. It's also in a latin american country, which CharlesNgo suggested for mobile. The offer was listed in my AM's top app installs listing of the week, but since it's the weekend, I haven't been able to ask him about how it's doing in terms of volume.
The offer is 5 months old (started in May). I've also signed up for the WhatRunsWhere trial and am having trouble finding many recent ads for this offer. How old should the offer be to be considered not worth attempting?

It's definitely amongst the crew of mobile apps that have been past their boom.
I'm not sure why everyone choose Brazil, is it not available in e.g. Chile, Colombia, etc.?
Anyway, you should investigate this app through AppAnnie to give you an idea of how the app has ranked/grossed in that particular country over it's lifetime.

I just picked Brazil since the listing from my AM has "[WAP - Android] Du Speed Booster - BR" and "[WAP - Android] Du Speed Booster - EG, CL, VN, SG, IT, SA, GE, FR, MX, ZA, TW, MY, AR, UAE, AT, BE, DK, FI". The smaller list looked more appealing to start lol.
Thanks for the tip! The ranking seems to be a steady 5 for Brazil so I think that's pretty good. To check out how the app grossed, would that be through AppAnnie Intelligence?

Doesn't that make WhatRunsWhere kind of useless? Direct link is usually just for the beginning testing phase between affiliate networks and countries, right? Pardon my newbie questions.

You can switch between ranks and grossing stats. Many apps will dominate 1st place in monetisation even while being 5-10th on the app store download ranks.

Hmm I don't seem to have that option. Have you purchased extra features?

Not that I'm aware of.
Maybe they simple don't have grossing data for the app or that app in that geo...
Just try some gaming apps and see if it appears.

Oh yeah you're right. Found the option on a game app. Thanks!
