eCommerce, facebook etc.

Hey guys,

I've heard that eCommerce sites like dealExtreme and AliExpress is really trending, and people are doing it big on facebook,

any ideas about angles in this niche?

Thanks.

Yea I don't think anyone will give you angles, but you might want to spy and see what others are running to get an idea.

Alternatively, you may use a service to come up with angles for you, but that'll cost ya money.

Haven't really seen many ads for those types of sites personally.

If it's % commission based stuff e.g. through CJ, I am skeptical... those types of deals tend to be difficult for affiliates because the % commissions extremely low relative to expenditure to get someone to buy -- even if it's a $5 gadget.

If the sites had per lead offers though?

dx is a 4% commission on goods sold.

You might check this out: http://www.nickycakes.com/the-cake-s...mmerce-empire/

Basically leveraging FB traffic, Amazon fulfillment, and asian goods.

Oh, that's way cooler than just trying to sell directly!

yeh, and he lays out a pretty solid blue print for everything except figuring out which products to test :-)

I've wanted to do this for a while since FB seems to LOVE e-com.

ecommerce is my life. It isnt quite as easy as it seems. Before you do anything, you need to get a tax resell certificate from your state/geo or whatever. You will probably need a biz license or Federal tax ID as well. If ordering from China, you cant just make a large order for goods. You have to order samples, find out their min order quantities and do a lot of research on which supplier to use.

That process can take 4-12 weeks. The good news is, you dont need FBA. You can get away storing it at your house, family member or local storage area. This will reduce costs and help you plan for when you are ready to send stock to FBA. If you send slow moving stock to FBA, you pay dearly for using amazon's warehouses.
