Hey everyone,
Can an Affiliate Manager lie to me about his offers? No details, but I've been recommended an offer of an opt-in dating offer with a cap of xxx daily conversions and a payout of mid-low $0.xx. I've also been told this offer converts up to 10% and brings in the most revenue.
Is this possible or the AM's just sh###ing me?
Yeh some have an agenda, however the doesn't sound all that uncommon - I've had dating offers convert in the 18-20% range.
We talking payouts sub $1 correct? Which markets? SOI or DOI? Mainstream network or outlier?
You'll need to give at least some base line info if you want an informed response.
Sub $1, not a niche site, country-specific market (some Asia & Latin America countries), SOI, mainstream network.
Mobile? Doesn't sound unreasonable to me.
What do you mean by "can"? And are you taking about this specific case or generally?
If by "can" you mean, generally:
- is able to, then yes
- ought to, then no
- has the permission of his/her boss, then sometimes
Hard to assess but it may very well convert like hot cakes.
You could out the offer to ask others, or maybe ask for a network-wide volume/EPC report and see where it sits in that.
AMs will try and push offers on you but they shouldn't make up bogus stats to convince you.
