So here's what I've done so far:
Direct Linking: With bait and switch through prosper 202
1. Picked a vertical and now got my offer (mobile iq quiz)
2. Check demographics on quantcast and google ad planner (males 18-34yrs old) but for this campaign im targeting males from age 19-22 exact age.
3. Picked out 25 images and right now just testing with 1 headline and 1 text ad. I got these images from Google and have not done any photo shopping to them yet. I wanted to test against 2 headlines and 2 text ad but im doing this by hand and don't really have a big budget. So 25 ads under one campaign.
4. Daily budget is set to $50 for the campaign.
5. Instead of using keyword base I am using broad category (movie, filim) in certain genres. action, drama, etc..
6. My estimated reach is 200k
7. fb suggested bid is at .38 to .61 cents (so I bid .27 cents)
8. Now just waiting for fb to approve all ads before I run campaign ( 5 has been approved so far )
Anybody want to add or suggest anything? Or did I miss anything? Should I do keyword base instead??
Disclaimer: Im fairly new to facebook ads so feel free NOT to copy
first things first I wouldn't bait and switch....not unless you want to loose the account.....if you are gonna do that you need some kinda cloaker to at least protect yourself....
besides that see how it does.....but I would say that at that lower bid you not gonna get great imp's and its gonna be hard to know if those images really work or not......I personally start high then lower if needed......every time I bid low like that I tend to get more app traffic (which sucks imo)
I was messing with the affiliateplex fb cloaker this whole day and couldn't figure out how to make it work and not sure what I was doing wrong. The thing I struggle with the most in AM is all this computer jargon stuff, I wish there was a computer geek right by my side when I have questions that relates to stuff that AIN'T about Affiliate Marketing.
Looks like I posted in the wrong section too...
Search the forum - there's a step-by-step to setting up the affiliateplex cloaker
@ubershawn are you still using fb ads? If not did your acct get ban even after using affiliateplex?
there are geeks in this forum, all you need is to post the right question to get the right answer
it does help when connecting the dots, but mindset is very important to learn to use the tool of the trade, just treat it as driving a car, it is very straight forward, some people are visual learner including myself, you can go to youtube to learn to use some of the tool such as dreamweaver or photoshop or just use a simpler tool to solve your current task.
most of the tools have videos to teach you how to use that specific tool, try to learn to use the tool before you start your work, once you get the "aha", then proceed to second step.
Hey Guys! I haven't ran the ads yet cause while trying to cloak I was using movieiqtest.com as my so called fb TOS compliant website but I guess it was NOT compliant with fb so I got an email from FB saying: How was the site not compliant? ( So I ended up deleting all ads ) Will try again tomorrow
Hi,
We've noticed that you are currently running Facebook Ads that violate our Advertising Guidelines or Terms of Use.

Also, we took a look at your account and noticed that the content advertised by this ad is prohibited. We reserve the right to determine what advertising we accept, and we may choose to not accept ads containing or relating to certain products or services. We do not allow ads in which the user has to complete any kind of Gold, Silver or Platinum offers before being eligible for a freebie, and will not allow the creation of any further Facebook Ads for this product. We appreciate your cooperation with this policy.
Please delete any ads that violate these policies within 48 hours to bring your account into compliance with Facebook policies. Continuing to run ads that violate our policies may result in additional action being taken on your account, including possible termination.

gonna try and target males 18-44 with keyword interests and so far the reach is at 350k..
Is my age range targeting too big of a gap or is this okay so long as I start to narrow it down once i get more info from facebook reports?
I do understand that bait and switching is a bit sketchy, but it seems like the only way I was getting anything approved was by doing so. Vuedoolor and I both came from another forum where they essentially always used a bait and switch method.
How do people get away with direct linking to quizzes then? My shit always got denied when trying to direct link. Even landing pages got the boot.
Hey I think the age gap is fine because the reach is sooo incredibly low. It might even be a bit tooooo low. I'm not sure how accurate this is or not, but I heard somewhere that it's rarely worth it if your reach is under 1 million.
There is no way you can get (mobile) IQ's approved on Facebook unless you follow the rules for mobile ads. Read the terms. You need to state the subscription details in the ad itself - "Subscription service at $3.99 per day" and the landing page needs to have several ridiculous things as well to be compliant.
They are really trigger happy with any kind of quiz. Cloak or bait & switch but know that FB really don't like this kind of stuff. I created by own quizzes with the sole purpose of cloaking and keep them 110% clean and still I get disapproved a LOT. Cloaking works well but as soon as you do volume you will get more heat on your campaigns and a manual review will get you banned.
Landing pages won't exempt you from the rules - they look at the "service" that's being advertised and will click through to see what you are advertising. The "safest" way is to use a landing page and use a fake outbound link. Once approved you can switch out the link on your own page.
Took me a LOT of campaigns to figure all that out.
