Voluum + AdCash - Driving me Mad

Guys,

I need some help with setting up an Adcash campaign on Voluum.

1. Variables and Tokens

Name:	21-10-2014 15-50-30.jpg
Views:	265
Size:	39.1 KB
ID:	4003

Is this setup correct?

2. Affiliate Link (Cake platform)

This is my affiliate link so far for Voluum

Code:
http://k3j27s9ve7.com/?a=123459&c=115&s2={clickId}&s3=
For "s3=" I must use the unique click id from Adcash. Which is best url token to use for this? {externalid} or {var1} or doesn't it matter?

3. Postback on CAKE

For my postback that goes in the affiliate network (cake platform). I would like to pass voluum click id as S2 and the unique click id from adcash as s3. What would the postback url be?

Code:
http://rr4ty.trackvoluum.com/postback?cid=REPLACE&payout=OPTIONAL&txid=OPTIONAL

4. Adcash Postback - Conversion Tracking

I need to use the postback from adcash to send back the unique click id for conversion tracking. This is the postback from adcash below. Do I place it in voluum? in the traffic source postback url box

and

Do I just change the "CLICK_ID" on the end to either {externalid} or {var1} (same as url token used in my first question) ?

Code:
http://www.adcash.com/script/register_event.php?key=b8aee6d19895cf98f2167e46970ff64c&idform=96854&campagne=227782&cid=CLICK_ID

Thanks Guys!

Step1, move clickid to the first field ( external id ) not second.

On step3 change to :

http://rr4ty.trackvoluum.com/postback?cid={externalid}&payout=OPTIONAL&txid=OPT IONAL

On step 4 you need to put this postback on Voluum as a postback url :

http://www.adcash.com/script/register_event.php?key=b8aee6d19895cf98f2167e46970 ff64c&idform=96854&campagne=227782&cid={externalid }

Thanks a lot man. That makes perfect sense now

One thing I don't quite understand:

On step 3, the postback:

http://rr4ty.trackvoluum.com/postback?cid={externalid}&payout=OPTIONAL&txid=OPT IONAL (For cake I would use: http://rr4ty.trackvoluum.com/postback?cid=#s2#)

That will postback my Adcash click id. But how about the Voluum click id?

Is there a way to append say #s3# on to that postback url (using cake) to also send back the Voluum click id at the same time?

If you pass Adcash's clickid as variable in your campaign URL you will see it under the CustomVar tabs, don't need to pass it in the conversion URL as the only you need to track a conversion is Voluums own clickid (and optionally the payout of the offer).

Hope that makes sense.

By the way, could you share where are you getting that kind of survey offers?

Cheers!

Set up your traffic source like so:

Note, in your postback I spotted these parameters - idform=96854&campagne=227782

Are either specific IDs for campaigns in AdCash? Or are they account based? In other words, for a completely different campaign, would the value of 'campagne' used in the postback have to be something other than '227782'?

If so, you may want to pas this parameter as a custom variable as well. Let's say campagne is a campaign-specific ID. Then, you could change your postback URL to use {var3} and could manually pass the value of campagne as var3 when making your ads/campaigns in AdCash:

That aside, now your offer link in Voluum should be:

hxxp://k3j27s9ve7.com/?a=123459&c=115&s2={clickId}&s3=

Your Postback URL at your network should then be:

hxxp://rr4ty.trackvoluum.com/postback?cid=#s2#&payout=#price#

Thanks very much Zeno. Everything makes perfect sense now

Those parameters in the adcash postback url (idform=96854&campagne=227782) are campaign related. They are a fixed value per campaign.

Every new campaign has both a new "idform" and new "campagne" number

Great, so add 'idform' to the custom variables list as well.

Then in your Voluum campaign URL that you use for each AdCash campaign, change the REPLACE placeholders to whatever idform and campagne are for that specific campaign.

By doing this you will automatically fill in the right values in your postback. Otherwise you would have to override the postback URL at the campaign level every time in Voluum.

Looks like Zeno replied faster than me

His answer is right on the money though.

@Zeno

Thank you for the comprehensive guide! Anw, how did you get the postback url? certain post mentioned that it is quite common popup traffic does not provide it but it seems that you have one

I also spotted that you put REPLACE on campagne placeholder, is it typo or should I change into [campagne]?

Lastly, I am running sweeps. I created a landing page (tracked by Voluum) with different offer links, how to set the Voluum tracking link? Is it possible by creating a voluum campaign link for each offers and put it on the landing pages so when the visitor click button A, they will be redirected to offer 1 link while when they click button B, they will be redirected to offer 2 link. If I look at the Voluum path dashboard, it appears to be impossible, am I right?

Because the prize option is different for each offers..
