Hey everyone,
Been in the SEO game for 5+ years looking to jump into mobile.
I am running 3 campaign setup 'The Appetiser' style.
I have received ~2,500 clicks so far with only 1 conversion for .60 cents. Does this seem off?
The clicks are fairly well distributed across ~20 different channels.
Traffic: decisive
Offers: max bounty
grocery sweepstakes, iphone giveaway, and paid survey.
Any ideas or what I should look for would be super helpful.
Thanks!!
I've also been getting very low conversion rates using Decisive and Clickdealer. Would be interested to know as well!
Read another recent thread about bots on Decisive. Guy from Decisive chimed in and said they do a lot to prevent them. I dont know though... May try a different traffic source.
Getting clicks does not entitle you to conversions. Its not uncommon to get 5,000 clicks and 0 conversions on mobile.
There are MANY variables and even though Decisive may have some bot traffic you will find that on EVERY ad network
Ha. Thanks for chiming in! I posted this thread to get a better understanding of what those variables might be. Honestly, I have no idea what a decent conversion rate is with mobile or what to look out for. I am very comfortable with other forms of paid search but could use some pointers here.
Cheers!
*just got another conversion. .60 x 2 Heck yeah!
Good idea - definitely wise to seek advice on benchmark rates.
Well, that's definitely a low conversion rate, but there are a lot of things that could be causing it - offers, network, angle, or dodgy placements.
Run some bot tests, keep optimising, and keep testing new stuff.
How much did you spend for your 2.5k clicks? It's important to keep your testing budget in check too.
Thanks! Spent ~$20 for the data. Trying some new stuff.
Jason
$20's fine. Nice work! Looking forward to hearing how this progresses.
@caurmen When you say "run some bot tests" how would we go about that?
