Landers for mobile traffic...

Hey guys,

have any of you used landing pages for mobile offers?

I am pushing a dating offer right now, and i am slightly profitable after testing loads of banners and site ids, but i still find that the CR is too low. i'm direct linking, and the offerp age is just a registration page. so a presell wont hurt. But How does a LP for mobiel traffic look like (what sizes and setup)? , how do i even build a mobile lander?

This might help. Build free mobile LP templates with Google sites:

Nice.

Here is another one http://cloneforsuccess.com/mobilepagecreator/index.php

Also http://jquerymobile.com/ is really easy to use for simple optin landers.

1) What's the offer OR what does the LP actually look like (can you paste a screenshot)?
I just want to know what fields are asked for...

2) Usually putting anything in front of the offer on mobile will reduce your conversions overall (I mean, it will increase your conversions from your LP to the offer, but not from clicks to the offer).

But you can try a simple 2-choice button type of LP (think "who's hotter") or something else that just requires a button click, no information.

Another option is to have an optin the page before...again, depending on what information is asked for on the LP. So if the LP is asking for name, email, password...you might just do a super-simple page asking for email, and then see if the network will let you prepop.

Curious to hear about your results.

Also if you want to use a fancy aweber form you can simply use this.

<meta name="viewport" content="user-scalable=no, width=device-width" />

<enter form code>

I wouldn't test a lander on mobile the way things are right now.

Just keep launching and scaling across the various ad networks. The name of the game is $20 - $50 profit camps across 10 verticals across 10 networks... do the math it adds up quick.

Landers are needed for presell, most of the mobile offers out there dont need it.

Agreed...

That first page (get started) does the job of the presell...

Direct working mobile offers works perfectly - just be sure you're targeting appropriately on the real ad networks - not Admob.

@grindhard: What are real ad networks vs admob?

08-05-2011 02:25 PM #15 The Angry Russian (Moderator)

You can read more about mobile marketing on MobAffBlog.com

But my top Mobile Aff Networks:
Mundo - got some wap
Neverblue - 160 mobile offers (own section)
OfferMobi - getting better

My top Mobile Ad Networks:
Jumptap - best tracking mostly US
Buzzcity - international
InMobi - international

Good luck bros.

$60,000-$150,000 a month Mr. Angry Russian!

are u using any tools to make the campaigns quickly or all manual because of the differences in interface between the networks ?
and are u using p202 with postback url for tracking or something else ?

10 networks !!! ok you got me beat!!!!!

I thought I had hit all the mobile networks at Ad:tech and MobiAD conference ?!

I will continue digging unless you feel up to sharing with the forum & I the longer list you know of [pls, pls, pls] :P

I have:
1 Admob
2 jumptap
3 mojiva
4 adfonica
5 InMobi
6 BuzzCity
7 Madhouse

but I did just find these recently:
Madvertise
Admoda/Adultmoda
Hunt Mobile Ads
Millennial Media
Greystripe
Mobile Theory
YOC Group
Hands
Microsoft Mobile Advertising
Advertising.com/AOL
iAd
Nokia Interactive Advertising

AND FRIGGIN AWESOME! I love the many little income streams on many networks.

Did the same with PPC before and found that to be my most profitable and stable times in IM... KUDOS Angry Russian ... KUDOS!!!

And i thought my at the wrong pace... This is exactly what i'm experiencing right now... $20-$50 profit/day... SLOWWWWWWWWWW.... But yeah you're right, make 10 campaigns profitable at that rate, scale it across different networks and you're set..

Let's get down to it bro

$20-50/day profit where's the gun. Seems like a waste of time. Just saying.

I'd definitely be trying presells or whatever if you can get some higher dollar stuff going on there. If direct to offer is $20-50/day then try something different for sure.

04-06-2012 06:30 PM #19 The Angry Russian (Moderator)

@Smaxor

You know where the guns are... but not everyone has access to the same "fire hydrants of traffic"

Both strategies work but it depends on what kind of person you are.

If you are a technically minded person then lots of small campaigns direct linked makes a lot of sense. If you are more of a creative person then presell landers with higher paying offers over a couple sources of sources might be more suitable.

I'm the latter fo sho.

I want to start a campaign on french market and I would like to know which mobile networks have the biggest traffic volume there.

How should I build the landing page? My offer is a forex trading platform (learn how to make money trading...).

The landing page that I run on adwords have around 1000 words and a video presentation.

04-06-2012 09:29 PM #23 stackman (Administrator)

@no1d

Try a mix of a longer formatted page and a smaller one. Don't choose, let the testing choose for you.

I know Jumptap & Buzzcity have larger french inventory, but to be honest most of the mobile networks will still have a lot of volume in France.

I've always debated the Angry Russian regarding landers, I think a presell generally does better but I think it depends on how attractive the offer's lander is. A lot of the dating offers like that meetmoi page are so boring. User is looking to meet hot chicks, not fill out a job application which is what that first page looks like. So why not try a lander with a bunch of girls pics that all you need to do is click through to the offer. MeetLocals has a good one as the offer page: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/594/meetlocal.png/

90% of compliance is common sense. You can make some very simple converting landers without being deceptive.

Speaking on behalf of a network is one thing. But the guy who started this thread is an affiliate running a dating campaign. Would it be worthwhile to test a dating lander? Yes. Can you easily build a compliant converting page without big risks. Yes.
