TRANSLATE YOUR WEBSITE or LANDER. Into 8 Languages. With a SINGLE LINE OF CODE.

This looks really cool! https://wovn.io/

WOVN.io is a multilingual localization service packed into A SINGLE LINE OF CODE

Ever tried using a website in a foreign language? Sure, you can click a button and let Google Translate give it a go, but don’t expect a perfect result. Tokyo-based startup Minimal Technologies wants to open up the internet with its WOVN.io widget – hidden in a single line of code in a website’s HTML header.

“A lot of people confuse our service with a simple translation service – we’re not, “ says co-founder Jeff Sandford. “We’re a multilingual localization service. There are a lot of translation services out there, but no one we know of offers a one-line option that’s as simple and straightforward.

Reach The World

WOVN.io provides multilingual support for your website or blog, bringing your content to the world. Site visitors can quickly toggle between languages using the WOVN.io widget. All editing and management of your translated content can be done from the convenience of your browser.

Get Started In One Line

Adding multilingual support to your website or blog is easy. One line of code, provided by WOVN.io, is all you need to get started. Your published translations will be instantly visible on your site!

Could you create all your banner text on a site, translate it, then use that banner text for your creatives? It would save a lot of time and expense from One Hour Translation.

It looks like the process is like so:

1. Add code snippet to site
2. Add page URL at wovn.io
3. It parses page text, you can then select machine or pro translate. The pro translate takes 4-5 hours and costs ~$0.05 USD per word.
4. The widget then appears on your page and lets users select translations on the fly.

The machine translation doesn't use Google Translate - the results are quite different.

It would be great if someone could do some comparisons to see which is more accurate. If Wovn is better, you could definitely dump all text on a page and just use its machine translation to get results.

Also, right now I seem to only be able to pick English > Spanish as the translation.

Go ahead, if you paste here the results from English to Spanish both for Google Translate and this service I can act as a judge and tell you which one performed better

Oh, the drop down is working fine for me now. Weird. Ok, here's some one-liner bits of text with results from G Translate and Wovn:

Raw: Click > Install > Collect and Evolve Heroes
Google: Haga clic en> Instalar> Recolectar y Evolve Héroes
_Wovn:
Haga clic en > instalar > recoger y evolucionar héroes

Raw: Collect. Evolve. Conquer.
Google: Collect. Evolucionar. Conquista.
_Wovn:
Recoger. Evolucionar. Conquistar.

Raw: Unleash Special Attacks.
Google: Dé rienda suelta a los ataques especiales.
_Wovn:
Desatar ataques especiales.

Raw: Evolve your legends and build the ultimate squad!
Google: Desarrolle sus leyendas y construir el equipo por excelencia!
_Wovn:
Evolucionar sus leyendas y construir el equipo definitivo.

Raw: Challenge other players for epic rewards!
Google: Desafía a otros jugadores para las recompensas épicas!
_Wovn:
Desafiar a otros jugadores para obtener recompensas épicas!

Who won?

On a side note, would this Spanish be perfectly fine in Argentina, Chile and Colombia or would you want to get someone from those countries to translate specifically for that?

I think they come out neck to neck -neither one perfect, of course.

Some words google didn't even translate but others it translated them with the proper conjugation or with more sense.

They would both be considered as "global" spanish translations. Maybe somewhat on the Spain kind of spanish. Perfectly understood in all countries, although, some expressions could sound a little weird in some of them. Even in regions within a country.

Neither sounds good in Spanish, second one is a bit better. I think the best translation would be something like "Colecciona y evoluciona a tus héroes"

Raw: Collect. Evolve. Conquer.
Google: Collect. Evolucionar. Conquista.
_Wovn:
Recoger. Evolucionar. Conquistar.

Second one wins. I thing it could sound better as "Recolecta. Evoluciona. Conquista"

Raw: Unleash Special Attacks.
Google: Dé rienda suelta a los ataques especiales.
_Wovn:
Desatar ataques especiales.

First one wins (by far)

Raw: Evolve your legends and build the ultimate squad!
Google: Desarrolle sus leyendas y construir el equipo por excelencia!
_Wovn:
Evolucionar sus leyendas y construir el equipo definitivo.

Second one is a little bit better but the verbs "evolucionar" and "construir" are not properly conjugated. The perfect result will be "Evolucione sus leyendas y construya el equipo definitivo."

Raw: Challenge other players for epic rewards!
Google: Desafía a otros jugadores para las recompensas épicas!
_Wovn:
Desafiar a otros jugadores para obtener recompensas épicas!

Neither is properly conjugated, maybe the second one is a bit better. It should be something like "Desafia a otros jugadores para obtener recompensas épicas"
Who won?

On a side note, would this Spanish be perfectly fine in Argentina, Chile and Colombia or would you want to get someone from those countries to translate specifically for that?

In this case it should work, it is pretty "neutral"

I translated a random dieting article from german to english with wovn.io and the results look pretty astonishing so far.

However, the same isn't true for English-to-German translations. Lots of grammatical errors here. You'd definitely need a real translator to get better results. Hope that helps.

Thanks ricmed and bimoca.

I imagine translating to English can be more forgiving than many languages, since there is the past/present/future tense influence on verbs but fewer complications with cases (e.g. like nominative, accusative and dative in German) and other grammatical structures.
