Some Difficulties in the Beginning of Media Buying
Hi guys,
I am trying to find some new ads platforms other than Facebook, and I chose Inmobi as a start.
I tested its traffic for one of my utility offers on a cpc basis, here is the statistics:
Impression: 20892
clicks:164
budget: $6.560
install on my end: 0
As there was no install on my end, I asked them for something about the traffic source, like website, display position, device id, etc, which i could use to locate ads placement of my campaign.
However, Inmobi was unwilling to providing me with anything about ads placement! they said their applist was not open to the public and they would help me to optimize my campaign,
but I am really confused that as they can only see clicks without installs there, how can they help me with optimizing my traffic?
If so, I suppose I am placing my ads on Inmobi blindly and inefficiently.
I'd like to ask you here if you have any good suggestions.
1.Can I get the infor. of my ads placement to optimize my traffic by myself in Inmobi?
2. if not, who can tell me if Inmobi's optimizing solution works? in what way?
Thanks a lot in advance.

I am sure you can ask them for token, postback, etc. then you'll be enable to optimize your traffic by yourself.
it's weird that Inmobi's refusing to provide traffic source.

It's really terrible! Actually, I had same experience with you......
I spent 40$ on Airpush without any install!

Ask them to enable pubid tracking for your account. It's a token which you ad to your URL. You can use that to optimize.

thanks for your suggestion, but unfortunately, they didn't want to provide us a token or any tracking things.
I am sure i put my ads on that platform blindly, and I wanna see the test result first, if bad, I'll turn to our ads platform.

what's worse, my native ads, approved by Facebook and other ads platform, couldn't get approval here:
Below are my creatives and their reply:

a.the first image says 500 % charge speed increase which is not mentioned in the app description, the second image says good bye to charging,so we consider both as misleading
b. in other two one says good bye to charging and other one shows a message notification which is also considered as misleading
don't you think that they are too strict in misleading ads ?

I'd delete your dupe but knowing Vbulletin it would break the attachments (why VB why!).
I guess the first 3 could all be declined depending on how strict ad approval guidelines where. For the first, 500% increase is false. For the 3rd, they may just not like notification icons. Disapproving the 2nd is a bit ridiculous - "Say goodbye to charging" is a hyperbole, it's a figure of speech...
In the end you'll just have to comply with them. Some sources are less strict then others, just gotta adapt.

Hi zeno,
i changed another two creatives and the block reason is the same, here is my banners:
I haven't figured out a better solution for this.
I am now working with another two sources, their banner approval guidelines are not that strict.

have you setup campaign to target both apps and wap sites? If yes that might be the case, as am working with few mobile traffic sources which allow same kind of banners you posted on wap sites but not on their app network.

As the platform I am testing are all blind network, so I am not sure if my campaigns target apps or wap sites.

Yeah but still you can ask them if its possible for them to filter that out from their back-end. Don't be surprised by the answer!

thanks for your little tip, but they are unwilling to giving me anything about tracking.
I am new in small traffic, after testing several platforms, I found I couldn't make money at all.
I am better at Facebook and Adwords, and wonder if I should only focus on facebook and Adwords.

If you have experience with FB/Adwords, and can make money there, stick to one of them and master it.

actually I am still focusing on FB and Adwords and try to find better strategies.
Also, I wanna test small traffic sources. although I lose money on all sources I tested, I added token on Tapit to optimize my traffic and chose some South-east Asian counties on Buzzcity as a test. I am looking forward to better results!

@nicksolidclix I feel your pain bro. Go2mobi recently went all anal on me and retro'd all my campaigns. They said I can't say "improve phone speed by up to 60%" (which is mentioned on the app page). Also they said I couldn't ask "Phone Slow?" in my banner. Basically, you did the right move. Once a traffic source gets like this, you can't really do much but move on.

what's your strategy when you bump into this kind of trouble?
I can't change my creatives all the same.
