landing page and p202 question (5)

Question to you stackers is this.

I have a landing page right now that ive been running and ads are approved for and been optmized already. I want to try a new landing page with out going thru the whole ad approval process again (you know how FB can be) so would it work if i got my new landing page, and put the same tracking code and php code in from my old landing page and uploaded in the same folder on my server? would my tracking get thrown off or would this work.

ummm if you're replacing the exact same file on your server with something different you should be fine. It wouldn't be a legit split test b/c it'd be 100% of traffic to the new page but it would avoid the approvals process.

It will work, i've done this many times in the past. I'd advise pausing your current campaign for at least a little while so you have a clear delineation between your old LP & your new LP tho... The 'commented out' part of the 202 LP code (below) doesn't really mean that the code has to be applied to that specific page...

ya i was just going to wait till like midnight so i can get new stats, just want to get a look at ctr at first then i can just try and go thru the approval process later and see if diff ad copies convert diff. on this new LP.
