Help with tracking in PoFPro

Okay guys I have a situation here that I would really appreciate some help on.
Here we go:

First, I am using PoFPro as my tracker. I was direct-linking at first but then I decided to use a lander. The lander I am using is one provided by F5Media; one of those generic ones... I just wanted to test it out for now. Now because the lander is being hosted on a server that isn't my own I'm assuming I can't edit the code right? Unless I copy it and put it on my own server which I don't know how to do right now. Okay so continuing on. I got the link to the LP and tried setting it up on PoFPro but whenever I try to set up the Lander in the rotation and then click the Click-Through-URL test link it just goes to a random shitty page that isn't mine. Since I can't edit the html of the Lander I can't put in the tracking code that PoFPro provide. My workaround is this: I set the Offer link to the Landing Page, and then the landing page leads to my offer. So technically I haven't added a Landing Page to PoFPro, I just link the LP through the offer. But PoFPro has it's own LP section which I am not taking advantage of.

Also, pofpro seems to not be tracking my data well enough. The dashboard has zero data on it even though my Ad Network says I have 4 conversions.

Please Help!
Thanks a lot.

Hey @design2game,

You were right to add the page you got from your network as an Offer instead of a Landing Page. Offers are any pages that you don't control and are controlled by the advertiser (in this case F5).

To add a landing page to POFpro, yes, you would have to control the page, or else there is simply no point, since having a landing page means you want to track the click through rate of the landing page, and you can't without being able to input tracking code in there.

In terms of conversions not showing up in POFpro, I'm guessing you just didn't setup the post-back URL correctly in Cake. Please submit a support ticket and our guys will walk you through it. For the missing conversions, you can manually update sub ID by grabbing ONLY the converted sub IDs from your network and going to the bottom of the Tracking tab for "Manual Sub ID Update".

Thanks,
Tom

@ffclogin
Hey Tom, Thanks a lot for clearing things up for me. I'm pretty sure I setup the post-back URL correctly in cake. Example: http://example.com/pofpro/tracking/t...unt=&subid=#2#
Is that correct? Thanks again for the help.

hxxp://example.com/pofpro/tracking/track-postback.php?amount=#price#&subid=#s2#

The subid tokens are #s1#, #s2# etc.

As long as you use the one your are passing your PoFPro click ID through, it should work fine.

@zeno is right

The #price# is optional but you need to use #s2# in your case for sub ID
