Pulling personal info from tracking link and/or landing pages

I got a personally addressed email directly from a network (that I am not part of) AM out of the blue yesterday that essentially said "Hey, we saw you running traffic on FB. We have some offers...etc"

I asked him how they got my info and he said they pulled it either from the tracking link or landing page. This was to my email address that I use for IM stuff, but don't have anywhere in my tracking links or landing pages (that I know of at least).

Is this possible?
If so, how? and how can I cover that shit up?
If not, did someone sell a list that had my info and interests on it?

It's a network I've heard of before and I think they're pretty legit, but I've never applied or anything like that before.

I got the e-mail, too. I think I've figured this out.

Do you use the FB Ads Uploader? During the last e-mail blast, Matthew sent out the upgrade mass e-mail to us using the "TO" field instead of "BCC". Looks like someone harvested that list and sent everyone an e-mail.

Was it motiveinteractive? If so, I think they just guess the traffic source. I have gotten 4 emails that look like that to diff email accounts, 2 of which said "we saw you running facebook traffic" when I don't have any facebook campaigns.
