whats up stackers!
got a B2B lead gen question(not as an affiliate) and any point to the right direction would be much appreciated.
1) (paid traffic) i assume linkedin is the best platform for targeting & generating b2b leads? any guides cos i haven't used that platform? i did a quick search here butt didn't find any
2) (organic traffic) any suggestions/resources on B2B content strategy?
3) (social traffic) social and B2B?? i have no idea if these two can even be put together
thanks a lot!!
What's the niche?
@panthary: a family relative is a beef wholesaler and i'm just trying to give him a hand. thanks!
LinkedIn is a tough one - I don't know anyone who has done much there and it doesn't get much discussion on STM.
You could certainly do B2B on FB - remember you can target job titles, industries and employers - though this is more detailed in the US.
Otherwise you could to media buys on relevant sites (e.g. where your prospects may buy hardware, consumables, etc.),
If many of your potential customers are solely offline based then consider direct mailing/flyers/business cards/etc.
Hell, you could even slip a mysterious QR code or bit.ly link on a card to them and let them go to it online > drop cookies > retarget on e.g. FB.
thanks zeno! all we want for now is drive quality traffic(retailers-both local and exporters) to fill in an online inquiry form and we'll call them.
what would be the best content strategy for this purpose, if we want some organic and social traffic as well?
did you mean we can only target job titles, industries and employers in the US, but not other regions simply because FB doesn't have that option(or enough data) for non-US advertisers?
For non-US countries FB's data can be limited in various targeting parameters, you really just have to dive in and see what the audience size is like when you try to use these.
For very small companies with no social presence it won't work. But you could target people who work for a large importing/exporting companies if the name pops up when you search for it.
You probably won't find too much use with these for that specific industry but you never know.
I would focus on an offline initial acquisition or email/phone, because it will be easier to find the specific people who can benefit from your product/service.
That being said, you could just target grocery store or relevant small business owners in your area and hit them all and hope to get a few biters. FB campaigns are easy to set up, so just test em.
What country is this for btw?
As for content strategy, I'd go with having a FB business page and a reasonably nice website that just describes what the company does, the benefits, how to get in touch etc. These are simple to get sorted these days with a billion templates around and thousands of talented, eager designers.
You could throw some very specific SEO into the mix but you have to consider, 'how many relevant customers are actually going to search for this'. Do local groceries owners often jump on Google and look for 'cheapest beef wholesalers in NYC'? I honestly don't know.
