[Testing Offer] Having issues testing CPI Offers with VPNs

I've been trying to work with an ad network but for they want to verify that tracking is set up correctly by getting me to get a test conversion after telling them the device ID.

I first attempted to use HMA VPN with my android phone but it didn't work as Google Play store recognized my phone was not of this country.

Now I'm looking at an iOS offer. I don't have an iPhone and I've been trying a lot of different things with no avail so I was hoping someone might be able to provide some tips/tricks/advice.

Do you need to use a VPN to run a test install?

AFAIK this works when you have the ad networks SDK integrated - you tell them your device ID, you load you ad link or what have you (and give a timestamp of the event), then install (timestamp), then open/activate (timestamp), etc.

They then look at their info and see whether the SDK picked up that device ID installing/opening the app around that time.

Is this what you're currently trying to do?

I do need a VPN to run the test install since the GEOs are restricted and U.S. is not one of them.

There was an option of SDK vs server to server. I'm trying to integrate server to server since I don't have direct access to the app to integrate the SDK.

This is a little difficult to figure out without being in your position, but if all they want to do is see if the S2S tracking is working correctly, just load your banner/tracking link through your phone with a VPN, then once you hit the play store, check your affiliate network stats > find the click ID > fire it manually. If the ad network SDK is not in the app then there is no way for them to know the difference.
