Do you guys test your offers conversion by signing up for them
Hey quick question. Do you guys test your offers to see if the conversion is working? If so do you tell your Affiliate Managers this so they can delete the cash? I don't want them thinking I'm trying to take money from them like this.. but it's a legitimate concern whether the offer works or not before spending money on it.

I did this once, then told my AM to delete it as it was a test. She just ignored it and let it stand.

Yes, most advertisers (and I presume networks) will have test parameters you can passthrough (e.g. Name: Test, email:
testing@blahblah.com) on the offer form for exactly this purpose.

I work with big affiliates only and I would give them that $100 more...
however, now my tech guy is handling it now and since we know our affiliate panel works - no need to test it for each account -- and for their pixel when we install it-- if it fires more than once, who cares -- they know it's during test period and not assigned to any channel/ad/referral.

Always test your offer by signing up to it, nobody cares about $2.50

You should test every offer that you have never run before, within reason. If it's a $100 lead gen then just ask to get it removed.
Running an offer without testing that tracking works correctly puts a huge amount of risk on your end.
A network/advertiser shouldn't expect you to absorb that risk for a few measly dollars, especially when you plan to invest your money in providing leads to their product/service.
Much like how you wouldn't pay for a $500 bottle of wine at dinner if you were refused the chance to first sample a sip of it.

Or some networks will ask for a tracking link from you and they will test if it fires fine and confirm with you.
Hit up your AM to see if can be done for the offer you will run.
